The Tides Restaurant & Bar reviews
64Have given a 4 star because although we had a few issues with our meals The Tides' staff were extremely apologetic and made amends by giving us a very generous discount. For the most part our food was very tasty. A huge thumbs up to The Tides.
A great place for dine in. Chefs cook to perfection menu fabulous staff are very good with service
What great place to dine out with friends. The food was excellent. Great menu with gf and vegan options. The staff were a outstanding which added to a great night celebrating my wife’s birthday.
The White tablecloths are sadly gone and the good old menu too.
Food ok but menu not as good we thought as use to be.
Excellent location, very nice staff. Food is very elegant but maybe a bit on the small side. Will definitely be back.
Absolutely delicious food & excellent service. The beef ribs melted in my mouth & my husband's ribeye was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend!
Great service and food to match. Very busy been New Years Eve but couldn't fault the service or the food.both excellent.
Disappointing experience. Young waitress doesn’t know the first thing about customer service. Kitchen staff talking so loudly I could hear everything being said in the kitchen. Sad as this restaurant had such high reviews. I came here for breakfast yesterday morning and was fantastic, said I would come back, and I did, but based on the dinner service, I don’t think I’ll be back, for dinner at least. Food was good, but customer service did no justice.
This is our highest rated restaurant rating! I’d booked for our honeymoon dinner, and they went above and beyond. Gave us a great table, some tasters (we didn’t eat pork so we passed). Food was great, service was impeccable! Even with it being low tide and river being dry, the view was still great. Bar guy was great and both the waitresses that served us at our table were fantastic! We appreciated the small touches for our honeymoon dinner. Cocktail and mock tails were awesome! Platter and chowder was amazing! Garlic bread was also great! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Good meal. Bit pricey but a premium dining experience. Bring some sun glasses as it's very bright outside in the evenings. Staff were nice and food was tasty. Lots of GF options also which was great. Warning though, theThai salad is a bit more spicy than advertised on the menu
Great service, great brownies for dessert, it's a must try! Ordered the large meat share plate between the two of us. The garlic bread was better than expected, definitely a recommend too. The food was good but not outstanding, and I've considered the price so just 4 stars today.
Great ambience and terrific menu. The sharing lamb platter for two was amazing. Highly recommend.
I spent many hours planning our anniversary and after the restaurant was highly recommended plus reading reviews I booked a table for 2. Although the entree was passable, my main meal was hugely disappointing. The steak was tough, potato planks (from the freezer). Really! Deep fried battered onion rings and something green resembling a salad. Honestly it was what I would expect from a busy road side diner. Never again
Liked the layout of the place, awesome service.steak was prety raw, i have no taste buds now due to the coleslaw, it was absolutely horrible.would go back but wouldnt be ordering the coleslaw
Great bar and restaurant staff and amazing food only thing stopping me giving it 5 stars is the fact there happy hour was only 1 dollar off house wines and tap beers and nothing off cocktails a bigger discount on at least house drinks or cheaper cocktails would be great
I ordered fish I was asked do I want a drink.
The fish was $35.00 for snapper.
The waitress was really nice when I said could I just have the fish and tap water.
The waiter approached me and asked a second time knowing I had already ordered dinner and tap water.
Do you want soda water or tap water he asked.
I have ordered already.
The waitress came back with the fish & water.
The waiter came back with soda water I didn’t ask for clapped his hands at the waitress and ordered her to take away the tap water. He replaced it with soda water. Please see bill enclosed in this email.
$47.00 for snapper & a bottle of soda water
I ate here for one dinner, one room service dinner and two breakfasts. Every time, the food arrived quickly, was fresh and tasty. The wait staff were friendly and helpful and patient as i got myself sorted with crutches etc. The squid rings were delicious so actually ended up ordering them the second time around.
Fantastic dinner. Shared entree was delicious and great to try 5 different entrees for the price of 2. Quick and professional service
Lovely dining here. Try the Entree Tasting Platter (2 people), yum. By the time you get through the main, you may struggle to find room for dessert. A big thank you to all the ladies, especially Monique and Charli.
1st visit 3 stars Very expensive and food was a little lackluster.
Have had a return visit and I have changed my rating to 5 stars today for the food, had the beer battered fish with chips and it was beautiful although still very expensive at $33 the staff were also far more helpful and pleasant than the last time we were there
