Yaza! Cafe Bar & Venue reviews
52You need a breakfast and your coffee? Map this place and park up for a bit.awesome atmosphere, yummy coffee, and delicious food.i had the eggs bene with spinach and mushroom on foccacia.this is where ill be frequenting when i visit nelson again and again!
Great atmosphere Very convenient location in car park where the Nelson Saturday market is held.
If you have time to wait 25 minutes for a chai and scone to be ready in a not particularly busy cafe at 11am on a friday morning, then go ahead. Lots of staff around. I enquired about my order after 10 minutes. Told to wait another 5 minutes. Ten minutes after that I get my order.no apologies for delay.
Dirty table.crumbs, sticky.
Chai average, not particularly hot. Scone average. Butter hard.
Best cheese scones in town, as is well known.
Also does EXCELLENT hollandaise, second best in town but definitely the best price.
Licensed, local, open on a Monday (rare as hens teeth in Nelson!).
Recommended.
Lovely place, loads of good food and best cheese scone of NZ.
You’re going to love it too
Sadly they have dropped the ball over the past year. The scones are fantastic but customer service is terrible. Very slow and not friendly at all. A smile with a warm greeting can go far.
My smoothie was out of this world. On top of that, the staff were very, very pleasant, the prices quite reasonable and the service was great. My friend had a cheese cone and an iced late, and she also enjoyed them greatly. I highly recommend this place.
They have the best Cheese Scones for miles and miles and miles around. Coffee is 'Wellington quality' and the interior is cool too.
Just discovered this cool spot right in downtown Nelson. Staff were great answering all my new to the country questions.
I ate there twice in one day. For breakfast I had the eggs Benedict sandwich on fresh baked focaccia bread.
For lunch I had a veggie frittata with interesting dipping sauces.
Oh yeah, can't forget about the cheese scone!
All in all excellent quality food.
Thanks guys!
I would like to give this a higher rating, but maybe next time when I will notice a smile on a face.the food and coffee quality was perfect!
Great little cafe, warm and cozy. Warmed brownies! Good coffee too.a place to go on an easy chill afternoon.
Have been very surprized and delighted that we have found Yaza as our now go to cafe. The food is delicious so look forward to trying all in the food cabinet. The service the brightness of the staff has now made you our no 1 cafe. Can't go pass their cheese scones often straight out of the oven. Always make the perfect cappuccino.
We visit the sunday market regularly, and then coffee and scones or muffin at Yaza. Yesterdays coffee knocked it out of the park, ie the best in nelson i have had. And the cheese scones are still number one. Thanks team.
Food was a little average and 'slap up' for the price. Smoothie didn't include real fruit. Tables quite dirty despite lots of staff on. Usually love this place for the coffee but wouldn't come for lunch again.
Good options for vege, nive vibe, friendly staff. Food could have done with a little more seasoning.
Such lovely food here, how it was served was not at all how I imagined it but it certainly gave it more flavour than I'd imagined! It was tasty, the textures ticked all levels although ot took some time for the to come out. I'd have 5 stars otherwise. I'm not sure what the reason was for this, no body mentioned any.
Damn good bacon eggs bene - generous with sizing, w yum crushed tomatoes (and no surprise eggwater). And coffee bowls? Yea would hunt down again!
Mixed reviews, I've had some really good food/coffee from Yaza, but I've also had some pretty poor food/coffee. Service is generally pretty good, although my last experience was poor.
I would go back based on the good experiences I have had there, but would like to have better consistency.
Still one of the best cafés in Nelson and has been for as long as I can remember, love you guys.
