The Bach Cafe

Really disappointed that the owners did not bother to let prospective customers know that they were taking an approx 3 week break from running the cafe. Nothing on the web or outside the cafe itself. After 2 tries to go there for lunch gave up.
Not a great look guys!

Haven’t been to a Ruakaka for several years and really pleased to find there is still a cafe there as several people have tried and failed over the years.

The Bach Cafe has a really great menu with a different take on some regular morning meals like Sausage and Hash which was great. The Bach all day breakfast was a little underwhelming with a small slice of tomato and not much bacon.

The Mango smoothie was delicious and the coffee great.

Service was average from some of the staff, though could see the manager had eyes everywhere and very attentive and ensuring plates cleared and doors kept closed as it was a colder day.

Can imagine there is a great vibe in the summer and will come back next time we are in the area.

Guy was pretty rude, glaring at me because my dogs were excited and ran in there. Disappointing because I was going to ask if they could cater for a function. Oh well.

This lovely Cafe has the best food my family and I have tried since being up here in Northland, just great quality well cooked food, great service from lovely staff, who are obviously happy to be at work, and the chef certainly has a very high standard, even my youngest daughter commented on how nice her breakfast was, thanks so much for a great dining experience

This is a nice place for lunch.great location.only let down was the coffee.too bitter. I needed to add sugar and I never usually do that. Change this and I will change my rating.

Great cafe near Ruakaka beach. Delicious donuts and breakfast food. Really enjoyed my Chai latte.

Absolutely love The Bach Cafe.
Had birthday dinner on the 17th Feb 2023, and had the Calamari. Aaaamaazing.

Then went for lunch a week later for our wedding anniversary. Had the pork belly. Was so good. Amazing food. Incredible service. Ka pai team

Like everywhere in NZ now. Pay more for less. This time, a few months later, less fish, only a dozen chips, salad rather puny. And.the price has gone UP! Not the same anymore. Very disappointed.

Enjoyable location, fast/friendly service and food was decent. Was enjoying the eggs Benny until I was crunching on eggs shells. But hay extra protein. Coffee was great.

Wouldn't sub-out bacon on the French toast for a vegetarian alternative - merely removed the bacon with no price discount! FLAT white coffee was 30% froth. Nice location but perhaps take a little more pride in delivering the best you can to encourage return visits.

Dropped in way home.savoury quiche.very yummo, mixed berry muffin amazing.and chsi latte fantastic.well worth the visit.will drop in again for sure

Great coffee, awesome cabinet food selection. Lovely sitting area outside to drink and eat, dogs welcome so good place to stop after your beach walk

Not a bad place, food is good but service so so. And I think they need to do a bit of bird control.the seagulls and other birds just wondering around "lawlessness" and its not very hygienic

I wanted to visit The Beach Cafe for quite a while because l had heard it was a lovely Cafe. Finally got there and it is a very nice place to meet up for a coffee and a bite to eat. Very nice atmosphere. I will be back

Food was terrible, hardly anybody wearing masks. Definitely wouldn't go again, even though this cafe has been there ages

Best meal I have ever had! Iced coffee was as cold as the arctic and was a perfect refresher.

Pizza crust was crispy and sauce was tangy and tasty. The staff were so friendly and welcoming Its as if I'd known them all my life.

Fantastic location right by the beach.food is great and generous portions.staff are very friendly and accomodating.

Disappointing to experience staff rushing up to the gate to check vaccine passports. Just an uncomfortable experience. Where's the hospitality and warm welcome.
