Two Birds cafe

Food was not very good in flavour or quality (my partner was served a banana that was brown with her pancakes). The plates and cutlery on the tables and out for the cabinet food were grubby and had food visibly stuck to them and I got food poisoning from eating here. Would not recommend and will not be eating here ever again

Father’s Day - I took my husband and our 4 year old for brunch, we made our order and sat down for our order to be made, a lovely couple arrived and we spoke with them for a while until their meal was served to them…. I sat there thinking hang on where is our order it has been 40 minutes and we arrived before these people and they have been served their meal before us. I see 1 of the chefs speaking to the couple then a second chef come out so I approached the counter asking where our meal was… the chef was confused and thought we had already received our meal…. I read out our meals and he was even more confused…. It seems the waitress did not hand in our food docket!

The chef was very apologetic and offered to quickly make the meals but we had a open home that we had to be at so we couldn’t stick around…. HOWEVER the waitress standing right there offered no apology for her mistake and completely ignored the
Situation!

We were looking forward to our meals as we have heard great things about this place but clearly not that day.

Slow service. Tables all dirty.
Food nothing special but expensive.
We recently moved to Waipu so thought would be nice to go there after doing our groceries.
Won't be going again.

Since the new owners have taken over, it's not as good anymore, orders are wrong coffees take ages to get to you, and it's sometimes not what you order, when it improves I will up my rating

Terrible service. Cafe was empty only two other people were there at the time. Waited 40 minutes for our order. When I went to ask wait staff was told they had forgotten the order. No apology was given. I wouldn’t bother going back especially when there is a great cafe just around the round. I will never be back.

This is based on a small double shot flat white which was poor. Wednesday at 8.30 a.m. 12 th Feb.

Coffee so hot it literally burnt my mouth sandwich was doggy and I could not eat it. Daughters sandwich had egg in it which she doesn't. Maybe list ingredients,?

Really lovely man served us. Just lack of communication and what was ordered came back completely different. The potato Rosti was really disappointing and tasted raw. Was a rainy day and was just a really drab place with not a lot of seating inside.

Food was average. The girl forgot about half our order as she went on break. Coffee was lovely when it cooled down.

Under-staffed and service was very slow when we ordered take-away drinks. Good coffee though. Nice covered outdoor seating.

Fine service and food came out relatively quickly (it wasn't super busy). Hash brown stack was nice but not work the money. We also got the Sliders - very nice and worth the money. We dined in over the New Years break.

I would be mindful that other items on the menu are not good value for money.

Would recommend! Great little spot.

Very very helpful hosts. Customer service is the most important aspect of any Business.

Great food and awesome service and staff. Lovely seating areas with good lot of parking area nearby. Lots of shops around the cafe to wander around.

Not easy to find, we happened across this cute establishment part way between Ruakaka and One Tree Point. It was worth the departure off the road. Lovely cup of tea, we didn't have the usual coffee, and the muffins were soft but not crumbly.
Great helpful service on a cold blustery day helped lifted our spirits.

Enjoyed a light snacksmiley friendly staff and great coffee. Quite busy with good vibe. Eats very ordinary, seriously consider being different, pies, sausage rolls sammy's have had thier day!

Nice Cafe in this area - has nice breakfast, cakes (berry custard tart is yum yum) and hot chocolate. Very pleasant staff.

Just be wary of the Chicken waffles (which i thought would be savoury, it was sweet waffles with a chicken patty in between).

Nice food, lovely staff that knew a lot about the local area. Stopped in from some lunch. Food was a little expensive but not too bad, still reasonable. Would go back again.

Nice cosy neighbourhood cafe in a small commercial center of Ruakaka. Friendly staff and good selection of food and drinks. Prices are reasonable.
