Our experience at Zane Grey's was stunning! The restaurant was fully booked as it was a really busy day but Jacopo not only managed to find a place for us, but also provided us with an exceptional service and great cocktails:)

Walked in for dinner and had a fantastic experience in Paihia! From the drinks to dessert, all were well done and very tasty for the value. Leoni was very busy but took great care of us with a joyful cheer! Sitting on the water in the Bay of Islands you won't be disappointed with Zane Grey's!

I came here after the boat tour and had a wonderful dining experience.we ordered the fish of the day - it was delicious! Rafie was also very welcoming and made sure we were comfortable.thanks again Rafie!

Two differents ways to see it
As customers, with my girlfriend everything was perfect, the wine, the food and the service (big up to Ella and Courtney!)

I had a lovely meal for one as the sun was going down. Beautiful views. My waitress Ella was fantastic and the food was lovely. Overall I had a great experience.

Awkward but a great place to be

Nice table near the waterfront. The food and wine were delicious. Staff was helpful with the wine so special thanks to Marine and Julien. They made us feel very welcome.

Was sad to drive 40kms to Paihia and the service was shocking, many times I had to ask for our drinks to be refilled, yes restaurant was busy but no excuse to be left out on the wing wondering if our drinks will come or even get to order.
We had a table of 8, most ordered F. O. D
And I ordered battered fish and fries and asked if I could have it pan-fried instead.fish came out and was broken up in pieces.i would probably think twice about revisiting this restaurant.
Menu needs more dishes to choose from.

Travelling from Melbourne and had an excellent dinner at Zane Grey's. Meals were great and staff were excellent. A girl named Cass looked after us and was very efficient and friendly. Would recommend if you are in the Paihia area.

Absolutely fantastic location, food, wine selection and impeccable service from Lara our first night and Cass our second dinner here. We were so impressed with the fresh oysters, risotto and seafood along with dessert that we decided a second visit. The lamb shank and fish n chips were excellent as were the mussels. If you are in the are do not miss this gem!

Do the world a favour, close your doors and allow someone that loves food and the industry to take over your restaurant. Your using your view and absolutely zero hospitality talent. Your kitchen paper towels as napkins was a red flag and it didn’t get any better

We had both breakfast and lunch at the Zane Grey restaurant last week. The quality of the food and service was very good and the waitress, Brooke, was very friendly and accommodating. It is also in a prime location overlooking the bay so one can enjoy a delicious meal with a wonderful view. Highly recommended.

A must experience. A lovely restaurant in a fabulous location. The menu was wonderful, the meal presentation and preparation was terrific. All this combined with our server Cass’s attention to our needs made our dining experience wonderful.

Excellent menu. We loved the New Zealand green lipped mussels which are large, fresh and well cooked in a white wine sauce.
We also ordered fish and chips that were very good.
Our server Lara provided friendly and attentive service. Well done.

Totally not recommend! Restrooms were filthy and no service! Tables were not cleaned and waited 25 min for a food menu.

Arrived late, in evening, friendly fast service. Superb greenlipped mussels, Angus cheese burger thrilled my 11 year old 'Great chips'. Highly recommended for ambience and wait service. Even went extra mile and took our photo.

Friendly service, good food and peaceful scenic surroundings. It was a great all-round evening.
