Aden Motel reviews
60Nice quiet room. Great prices. Good Wi-Fi. Only thing is the shower cubicle is small. But otherwise was good.
The lady who checked us in was helpful and friendly.
Nice spot to stop for the night on the way to Milford.
Everything you need is in the room!
Loved the coffee pods
Had a fabulous stay. Very friendly.
Booked us on a day tour to Milford Sounds, fabulous trip.
Would definitely recommend
Our king suite had large room plenty of table space good heating kitchen with stove including freezer good bathroom very clean very friendly helpful staff. Would definately stay there again
Stayed here 1 night, no issues with cleanliness however the hot water seems to be pumped by a little person who sometimes works and easily gets tired so you'll need to bath carefully like an elephant.
A fantastic place to stay. Clean, comfortable & well appointed. Great facilities. Location is excellent for trips to Milford Sound. Owner is lovely & friendly, together with her puppy Mollie. Great town. Highly recommend staying here.
Really liked the cleanliness of this Motel. The staff were very pleasant and I would stay here again
Perfect for one night. Everything was very clean, fully equipped kitchen, good beds, friendly staff.
We were pleasantly surprised with the homely rooms that were very comfortable and lots of space. It was a very enjoyable stay and lovely to meet Molly, the friendly puppy. Highly recommend Aden motel.
Excellent units with comfortable bedroom and complete kitchen. Laundry for guests, but you can put your clothes to dry on the clothes line. Internet is very fast. Irene is very gentil and helpful and she makes everything to make your stay memorable. I would return for sure.
If I could give this place 10 stars I would! Irene and David are lovely, genuine hosts. The hotel unit we stayed in was very clean and spacious, great shower and comfortable beds. It has a really good laundry room and a clothes line with the added bonus of a note saying if you hang your washing out and go out for the day, let the staff know and they will look after it if the weather changes. But wait, there's more! 24 hours after we booked out, my son realised he'd left his madly expensive Airpods on the bed. I rang and spoke with Irene and her fantastic staff went through EVERY sheet they had removed in that 24 hour period and found them! Then Irene couriered them back to us. So, if you're heading to Te Anau, book a room at Aden Hotel, you won't regret it.
The best motel we have been across AU and NZ. Spacious, clean, comfortable, extremely well equipped, friendly owner, easy and a lot of space for laundry. We are pleasantly surprised!
$4 for dryer or washer. No extra charge paying by card.
Cant believe they even provide a rice cooker in the attached kitchen!
Terrible experience due to poor customer service - found receptionist to be extremely rude and unaccommodating
My girlfriend and I booked a room at Aden Motel via trip dot com and they did not inform us that we could not check in after 10pm anywhere in the confirmation email and when we arrived at 11pm, Aden did not have any emergency contact information so we weren’t able to stay and were basically stranded for the night. We understand that this is something we could have called about earlier in the day but every other place we had stayed at had the standard practice of setting up a late check in and so we assumed this was not necessary. We had booked two nights and were definitely willing to accept the loss of our first night but when we came to speak to the receptionist the next morning, she was completely hostile to us and made us feel very sour and uncomfortable to continue our second night stay - and I quote “it doesn’t take a brain to know to call ahead”. She also would not allow a refund. We are very disappointed as we were looking forward to Aden but the lack of human kindness and sympathy really showed to us that we would rather stay somewhere else, such as Kingsgate across the road and offered us a discounted room as a result of our situation.
Photos were an accurate representation of what we got, and felt super luxe for a motel! Highly recommend! Irene and her family have made Te Anau our home away from home and we look forward to many more visits to this motel to see our Kiwi family
Awesome little motel that we stayed at at the tour of Southland. It was a fantastic spot for us.
Loved staying here. Booked the cottage which had lots of space and a wood fireplace. Very cozy and great location.
What an absolute pleasure it was to have stayed at Aden Motel during our visit to Te Anau and to have met the owner and their pup, little vain girl Molly. The motel feels like an extremely upscale yet homely motel, with clean comfortable bedding and nice toiletries. We had such great rests here and even used their fully equipped kitchen to cook a simple breakfast. Missing my puppy back home thousand of miles away, I was happy that their resident puppy is extremely friendly with strangers and would enjoy a little scratch or two here and there. The owner loves dressing her up in different clothes and we loved to see it. We also used their laundry facilities at $4 each for the washer and dryer. Anyone who’s interested for a stay at Te Anau should definitely check this motel out.

Our experience of staying at Aden Motel the owners Irene and David have a lot of pride with there motel units as the rooms are clean and tidy with attention to detail.
Staying here is good if you are on a budget. The king size bed was comfortable and the bed linen was clean.
The managers have quite a few rules posted inside of the unit. We where unable to do any cooking as the stove top was locked out to adjust the temperature which was a negative.
There are rules about cooking inside of the unit for extra cleaning charges.
We left for an International fight at 7 am in the morning and we had to skip our morning showers not a great start to the day
There was no hot water. Considering how cold it is in Te Anau we where both very disappointed about our overall stay at Aden Motel.
