We would like to thank both teams invercargill/ taranaki… for their professional service… Eric at the invercargill end did a awesome job of packing the container I was blown away with how much stuff he packed in.it all arrived to our new house in south taranaki with no damages great work … the taranaki team are great guys and unpacked container with ease thanks so much highly recommended mark and Ronda
Easy to communicate with & kept me up to date with timelines & delays (I was sharing container space with another client) Reasonable quote given.

Lovely team, great with communication, really know what they’re doing. Of the many moves I’ve had over the years this was the most stress free one of all. I can’t thank the team enough for moving us- ID recommend you to anyone.
Allied services were great at nudging me while i was in the throws of moving. It can be discombobulating trying to organise everything and they were there every step of the way prompting me to move forward. A sales tactic one would say and one that i needed during this busy period. Also they were great to speak to. Prompt communication. Friendly, accommodating and made the move 100 times easier. On the other end after having received the goods, the lads who moved my stuff into my apartment were lovely, kind, professional and accommodating. Excellent customer service, however, I am rating it a 3.5 overall because one of my boxes was wet at the bottom compromising my belongings, and i had water damage to two vintage pieces of furniture, and a foot of my bed snapped off during the move aswel. I know accidents happen and i'm questioning what pre-cautions they put in place to protect the furniture? - Overall excellent customer service, questionable delivery.
Have to give 5 stars for this business. Communication is good.we moved back to CHCH.only one minor scratches for the 3 seater. This is pretty impressive.the team is very friendly and helpful.not to mention their price is very competitive.
Using Allied helped take the stress out of shifting to a new house. Eric was great to work with and worked to accommodate our needs
They did a great job packing but should ask permission to use someone's toilet. Also should tell you that they are about to leave and not just go and leave the garage door open without us knowing.
All in all a pretty great move. Good value. Very quick to respond. Everything was on time. Very professional.
The only things that didn't make me happy were:
Mine was a self-pack, they load. They re-packed a lot of my stuff, come with their own boxes. Once or twice I had to say, 'no, that stuff of mine is not being tipped out of its own home container into their big box of allsorts' especially stuff that meant a lot to me and I didn't particularly want to go looking for that stuff. It's good to see stuff come off a truck in one container that it lived in, in your home. Moving is hard without having to re-organise your home at the other end because moving men think they can mess things up. They did break one plastic tub. It obviously had something far too heavy put on top of it and that wasn't a flimsy tub. At least they used their own blankets this time to protect the fridge-freezer. In 2006 they took the specialised spinal topper off my bed and used it, tearing a $300 item to shreds so I was happy my new one stayed in-tact (because I had already packed it this move). All in all apart from those wee issues a great move.
Five items damaged. A brand-new set of cabinets damaged when they run into another cabinet. The excuse was if we paid the $700 for insurance then they would have bubble wrapped the expensive items.
Standard procedure for moving whiteware with a barrow is from the side not from the front or back.
I did appreciate the job is bigger than anticipated, I also appreciate them coming back around to have a look at the damage.
But Insurance or no insurance, This company is supposed to be furniture removal expert‘s therefore I would’ve expected a little bit more care
When moving my household goods the Company was reliable, prompt to their timeliness and goods were delivered at the time I was advised.

I've used Allied Movers for every move I've made in the past few years. This means 7 moves since 1996. I have never had a complaint. I would recommend them to anyone. In fact I have.
Shifted from south island to north island through allied. Found them so good to deal with and kept us well informed on when furniture was arriving. Friendly people to deal with
Got my bunk bed sent by them. Cheap rate, fast speed, great people! Kaye in Invercargill and Lauren in Christchurch are both delightful to deal with. Honestly, mine is a small job considering the amount of containers I saw in their yard, but this makes me appreciate their work attitude even more- I feel my business is valued and my stuff matters to them!
The young guys that packed my goods, and unpacked at the end. Where absolutely wonderful they where very professional, respectful, efficient and polite. The organization took a bit and backwards and forwarding, but the phone calls where always returned and emails answered very quickly. I am very pleased with the outcome.
Mixed review re our move. I had to ring a couple of days before our shift to find out what time the men would be at our house- I hadn’t been contacted. I was told between 9.00-9.30am. One person arrived at 9.00am. The other 2 didn’t arrive until after 10.00am which was the time Eric told them.
They then worked well and efficiently
When they left, they said they would be back the
next day at 8.00am. They arrived at 9.00am. Apparently Eric had contacted them to tell them the later time but Eric had not bothered contacting us once again. Eric and another guy didn’t arrive until 10.30am.
The rest of the job was completed well although 2 lamps were just put in a box with no wrapping and paint was chipped off when we unpacked them. Some smaller pictures were also put in a box with no wrapping but luckily were not damaged although could have easily been. A mirror was also left on a wall in one of the top bedrooms even though we had earlier said it needed to be packed
Our possessions were put on the truck in good time
Poor communication was the real problem overall. If Eric could contact his workers, he could have contacted us
We now have damage to inside walls of our brand new home from carelessness & the metal fascia of the garage from the truck door swinging around when they parked too close to the house.
Highly recommended. Competitive price, kind staffs and professional service. Very satisfied overall:)
