Such a lovely place, did not want to leave. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I will go back. Bedroom was clean, spacious and had a very nice view.

Great location if you are going to Doubtful Sound. Only 10 minutes drive to the meeting point at Lake Manapouri. The shared kitchen is well organized and has everything you need. WiFi is a bit weak in the rooms and only works well in the shared area.

Nice quiet place, a bit far from town, so having a car is recommended.
Wi-Fi is really limited, both in term of speed, distance and data limit (Barely available in the rooms).

Only issue with our stay is that it was not long enough! We only had a very short over night stay before we did the Kepler track. The view was fantastic and beds were comfortable. Staff were lovely and very accommodating.

I loved this place. If you search for a break from hiking this spot will be perfect. Beautiful views to mountains from rooms and common zone (you will still feel like being in nature). Great kitchen to prepare all types of meals. Leaflets about activities in zone. Friendly staff. I couldn’t ask for more!

Large double cabin with ensuite, very nice. Main building and common rooms are large and well equipped. Well out of town, so own transportation is needed. Best backpacker hostel we have stayed at.

Cozy cabins with large windows and great views right from the bed:). Cabins include bathroom that is very comfortable. Well equipped kitchen with cozy dinning room and helpful nice staff. A place that I can really recommend to stay:).

You should have a car as it is located 8km outside of Te Anau. The kitchen was really new, well equipped and very clean. The main house (where the kitchen is) is separated from the cabins, in which a bathroom with a shower and toilet is included. The room and bathroom was always very clean. The location comes along with a stunning view on the mountains, especially the sunset is just beautiful to watch from the terrace of the main house. The employees are very kind and helpful.
The only disadvantage: there's no WiFi in the cabins and barely any other internet connection available, only in the main building.
