Do yourself a favour and book two nights in a river view cabin.
Fabulous meals, gorgeous cabins to relax and watch the world go by.
Exploring Milford Sound is a bare minimum 2 days.
Too beautiful to rush.
WOW! TOTALLY WORTH THE COST! The cabins are beautiful and the views are even more beautiful than the marketing materials. The bonus is that if you stay overnight, you have an opportunity to see the stars in one of the clearest night skies in the world! The dinner at the lodge was fantastic as well! Both the venison and the pork belly were perfectly cooked!
Awesome camper van powered sites in the Forrest, very close to the cruises. Good food in the restaurant, rare venison was brilliant.
Milford Sound Lodge was great. It's obviously in a beautiful location, but the facilities were clean and nice and the staff members were very welcoming and helpful. We only stayed one night, but I wish we would have stayed longer!
Be advised this is the ONLY place to stay in Milford Sound. Rooms are of modest size, but the layout is exquisite in the use of space. The restaurant is okay (again only one in town). There are very limited supplies in Milford Sound. All of this cautionary notes are simply to alert you to bring what you think you will need, not at to dissuade you from visiting this visually stunning location.
This place is 100% bang for your buck. We got a powered campsite for our campervan and the accommodations and bathrooms were very clean and well kept. I definitely recommend staying here if you're in Milford Sound.
Holy expletive. This place blew us away. We spent 3 days of our honeymoon here and it was the absolute most amazing place we’ve ever been to. Get the river chalet and never regret it. The food is good, the scenery is amazing and the experience unreal.
