Te Anau Lakeview Kiwi Holiday Park & Motels reviews
56 Stayed in the west arm lodge single room. Great quality for the price. Room was small but plenty of room to spread stuff around and was good to have the privacy. Beware the walls are thin and you will need earplugs if someone is snoring or talking loudly in surrounding rooms. Bathroom facilities were very clean. They also have secure luggage storage that you can use if you are hiking any local great walks and need to leave extra luggage somewhere for a couple of nights (small fee if not staying there).
When I was there in early November 2022 there was a large number of DOC workers using the park for short term accomodation (big local pest eradication project) but it still didn't feel crowded.
Staff were very helpful and accomodating.
Beautiful holiday park overlooking the lake. Lovely clean modern facilities and plenty of hot water for showers staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended this place and will stay again on our next visit to NZ.
So clean and tidy. The cabin and kitchen were warm and had everything we needed. The showers where hot, with a huge shower rose and high pressure. Excellent location, quiet but still central. Bring your folf disc as its right next to an 18 hole course.
We booked a powered site. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming. The site over looked the lake. The showers were the best with high pressure and hot water, however the mould needs some attention. I'm sure it's a tricky thing to manage given the location though. Nice place to stay.
Many thanks to Tim, Katherine and Louise for all their help during our stay. From our first communication with booking, through welcome on arrival, assistance during our stay, and finally, safely returning to me my favoirite gloves I left behind. A great overall experience, value for money and, clean and tidy units. Perfect location for our party of four pre and post The Kepler walk and pre The Routeburn track. Definitely recommend.
This camping ground has roomy, level caravan sites with some overhead shade. The facilities are clean and the staff are helpful.
We came back a few times to stay here on our travels. We booked a powered site so were as self sufficient but was impressed with the friendliness of the staff, nice clean facilities and the views from the park. Highly recommend.
Great place to stay, a good base to visit Milford Sounds, plently of good facilities, powerful showers
Stopped in here for a casual shower ($5pp) I can 100% recommend this holiday park! The staff are wonderful and friendly, the showers were incredible and the facilities looked great! Possibly the best showers we have had while travelling the past year and a half and no time limit.
Perfectly placed place. Close to town, lake and many more things. Booked 1 night ended extending it to 3 nights. Staff are great place is clean and great rates. Would highly recommend.
Lovely stay overlooking the lake, easy walk to Bird Sanctuary. Great facilities, have recommended to others.
Loved it! We had the unit right across from the lake with the best views! We had a nice balcony, we enjoyed breakfast outside every day. Thanks for your hospitality! Highly recommended! We will be back, that's for sure!
Close to the town, short walk to bird sanctuary, also the facilities in this campground are great, plenty of showers and toilets all clean in great condition, kitchen has lots of space to sit, no coin shower drama here you can have shower on your leisure, it is a little on the pricey side costs $25pp for an unpowered tent site, well worth it though. Reception lady (and guys) are lovely, so friendly, they helped us book doubtful sound tour which i totally recommend, it was such an adventure. I also biked the MTB track just behind the park, was great.
Little oversight by management. 11pm and still people outside tents swearing and talking loudly, drinking, playing music. Really disappointing.
Booked a double room with shared bathroom. You need to make up the bed yourself and there was only a thin summer duvet. Woke up at night freezing and had to use my sleeping bag. Also no towels or soap is provided for the showers and no floor mats so the bathroom floor gets very wet.
Appalling service. This camp site does not cater for the disabled as advertised. They could only offer me a premium deluxe family suite, refused to negotiate the price as they were unable to give me a basic cabin as I asked for. They told me that nothing else on the camp site was wheelchair accessible, refused to accept they were penalising me for being disabled by charging more and told me to go elsewhere. They did not respond when I asked for the name and contact details of the site manager to lodge a complaint and I never got an apology. I am disgusted at how I was treated.
At the lake, close to the Kepler track, and quiet when we visited. Free and good WiFi, free showers, great spot.
Drunken singing party went on till midnight. No effective enforcement of the campsite rule. The manager should have called the police. Avoid if you want to sleep inseatd of partying all night during holiday.
We love staying here! During this visit the cabin we had requested was out of action so we were upgraded to a lovely little cabin with a kitchen. The facilities are immaculate and the staff are very friendly and polite. I would definitely recommend!
Booked a twin bed cabin thru bookin.com but were upgraded to one with a kitchenette which was awesome as we didn't need to walk out in the rain to the kitchen facilities. Would book directly next time so they don't have to pay commission to booking.com and changing dates as we did would be much easier. The highlight of this park is definitely the warmest, cleanest and best hot showers I've ever experienced in any campground in New Zealand.
