The Cheeky Llama Cafe

Was disappointed from my last visit, food was not as good. Maybe because was busy with school holidays

Never got an opportunity to try anything as the blonde girl and the man just ignored us as we waited in line and served the people that came in after us. Terrible service. Would have bought hot food from the menu too.

Excellent Llama breakfast. Plate was packed. Cheaper than all the other cafes by a couple of dollars. Not a fan of all the dogs. At least they weren't barking inside like the Beach House cafe. Well done Melwin and the team.

Coffee was hot, the only thing that was, waited over half an hour for my bacon butty only to be served cold chips and soggy bread, not recommended

Was super busy being a Sunday, was a wait for coffee but totally understandable considering how busy they were. Staff we so lovely! Our coffees were fantastic

Cosy place, good food, some staff did not speak and rush around made me feel unwelcomed etc, hopefully that's a once off

Our group of 8 dined at the Cheeky Llama for our evening meal on Friday night. Staff and service were absolutely excellent and went out of their way to accommodate us. Likewise our meals were first class. Can’t rate this cafe highly enough. Amazing and thank you all so much. Great food, great service, great location!

Enjoyed the atmosphere of the café and the surrounding area of the park is beautiful, but I found the coffee to be just average.

Orange Fudge didn't taste like orange, scraped the icing off hoping it would help but still overly sweet and artificial. Then waited for my coffee, hoping it could redeem itself. But people who ordered coffee after me got theirs first, when my flat white did arrived it wasn't a great cup of coffee. Disappointed

Was good when first came in but when I ordered I asked for no mayo and no butter in my BLT I say this at every restaurant even if it doesn’t say it on menu. Got my food had mayo in it so nicely went and told the lady there was mayo she took it then came back to tell me I didn’t ask for no mayo. Umm do you not just take what the customer says and sort it because as I had already said I asked for no mayo. My partners food then came he had cheesy wedges that also had sour cream as another staff member came over to put to it on table she made a snarky comment asking if that cream was ok when it clearly wasn’t actually for me. Made me feel very uncomfortable for the rest of my time here.

Great food, lovely surroundings but music too loud for 9am in the morning, not sure if it was to please the staff and not the customers. Plenty if seats outside luckily.

Coffee and food were great, lovely friendly staff, warm environment. Eggs bene with bacon and BLT cooked just the way it should be.

I looooove this place, everything about this place is just perfect. If I could calm it anything it would be. Country garden comfort

5 star coffee but this cafe does not understand the concept of the toasted sandwich. Wrong bread, wrong cheese.

Been here plenty of times over the years, and it's changed owners a few times. There was a stint where the food went south. It's picked up a bit, but it's still just "ok" for what you pay. You won't go wrong ordering a hot drink and enjoying a piece of cake. The atmosphere needs a lot of work, and it wouldn't take much. Having the roof covered with white spherical paper lantern pendant would give it plenty of contrast.

Small menu but totally more than adequate. Teriyaki salmon was devine. Fantastic service 11/10! Best in Invercargill! Evening dining only on Friday and Saturday at the moment. Dine early as closes around 8pm. Beautifully quiet.

This place has a great relaxed atmosphere and the food is great too then you can walk it off in the park.

Great service and nice people but not enough savory nibbles anymore. Used to love the filos and salads and mini pizzas.yum.

Great location to queens park and great for anytime of the day to attend here!
The food menu has lots of great options.
