The Green Room Cafe reviews
20Great little find for the weary traveller! Food scrumptious and good coffee, served with a smile. You must try the famous Green Room Cheese Square - and the bacon and egg bagel is worth the visit. Photo was a bit late as I'd already tucked in, couldn't wait! Thanks!
Such a great little cafe excellent coffee and best selection of tasty tempting goodies sweet and savory
A cosy Cafe in a cinema complex. The coffee was average but so the coffee in most other coffee shops. Staff are nice.
Bagels were dry and burnt. This place used to be amazing. I thought it might have been a bad patch. But it's still average az
Coffee and food are good. Pity the staff are so rude. If you don’t want sass with your order wouldn’t recommend this place. Seems pricy for what it is also.
Superb coffee. Tasty selection of cabinet food. Friendly bunch of staff and a cozy, relaxed atmosphere.
Friendly staff, delicious food and excellent coffee - great place to stop for a break on a long drive across Southland. Excellent table for two right in a nook in the window. Perfick:)
Nice coffee and a selection of cakes and lunch food inside and out side seating loved all the decorations of different mirrors
As good as it always is every time I come to the South Island. Super food and great coffee served by really really nice staff
Nice small cafe. I was expecting more breakfast options. Had a nice kumara dish. Sat in the window seat, a little cramped with neighbouring table and awkward to get to when someone was sitting next door. Staff were polite and served my food well heated.
I have been to many cafes in my 60+ years and the food at the Green Room is the best I've experienced. The originality of dishes all made on site made choosing difficult. Went for the spicy mince/sour cream/sweet chili on potato skins and the ganache filled version of an anzac biscuit. Both are great!
Tasty coffee and delicious cake. Best spot are the two tables in the window. Best comfy chairs possible.
Coffee was good but its a very small shop, when i went it was busy and far to loud for our meeting
Never been here before but staff nice and friendly. Food was to die for and great coffee! Thank you for making a stop a pleasant one
The most delightful staff, so helpful. The food was amazing so delicious. Awesome coffee. Thank you
A great cafe with affordable prices. Lovely home-made tasty dishes and friendly staff located in a charming room adjacent to the historic art deco theatre.
We were driving through Gore on our @oneway.to.somewhere trip in NZ and just wanted to stop for a quick coffee. The Green Room hit the spot. We recommend!
Daylight robbery. I paid $9.50 for a bagel. There's a reason nothing has a price. The bagel consisted of egg, bacon, cheese, tomato sauce.
Also the bagel which I ordered was quite stacked, yet when it came out it was not. A bit of false advertisement.
What a great wee spot for morning tea and a light bite. Had the delicious corn fritters and a cup of tea, the staff were very accomodating of my dietary requirements and happy to help and make suggestions for alternatives. Loved the decor and old cinema chairs.
