44Definitely gone downhill since we last visited. Cafe food half cold. Waited ages in a nearly empty cafe. Waitress was lovely.
A nice pleasant cafe. We ordered cabinet food which was delicious. The coffee was also good. I like the booth seating.
The only reason I gave this 2 stars is because the hot chocolate was good. I feel this place has gone downhill since we last visited. The food was not good. It was partly cooked. We had the Wedges.
Milkshake was good, had the eggs bene half. Was good but the potato cake was a little burnt and crispy
Very nice and lovely good customer service.just one down side was the meat pattie was in placers just cooked right through but totally yummy though and it was all home made

Has been brilliant. Seems to be new ownership. At the moment hit and miss, so could be average at times. Hopefully new owners will find feet and passion.
Waited forever for our food only for it to come and theyd stuffed up at least 2 of the orders. Not to mention bland expensive burger. Def gone downhill since I last ate there. Customer service didn't seem to know what they were doing either
Nice atmosphere, yummy food. I must admit that is my first big breakfast without any sort of toast? So poached eggs without toast, yeah nah.
Food was lovely but my wife's meal came out when I was nearly finished my steak sandwich. Pleasant staff. Music was a bit loud for my liking.
Went into Lush for lunch today not a good experience. Ordered for 3 people 45 mins later still waiting for food coffys well and truly finished. Went up asked how long was told hopefully 10 mins (not that busy cafe not full) 15 mins later food arrrives i ask why it took so long rude waitress says you were told half hour wait i replied no i was never told that she argued yes you were even though she didnt serve me. I said no i wasnt the lady never ever told me half hour if she had i would of discussed with the two other people wether we wanted to wait that long and we wouldnt be moaning about the wait. Continued to argue with me.really, very poor customer service rude staff never apologised for the mix up and the wait was actually 50 mins from the time we ordered. On the upside food was nice but certainly wont be rushing back there. Sharpen up guys your customer service definitely needs working on.

Well this place has gone down hill in the last 2yrs. The food is still ok but friendly smiling staff have disappeared. My last 2 or 3 experiences have been average but today (2nd Sept 2020) has been the worst. A young lady working there with dreadlocks tied up barked at me twice before I even ordered food. After that it felt like a dark cloud hanging over me so I rushed my food down to get out! There was a lovely Maori lady working there that really turned it around. Big well done to her. A bit of work to be done here Lush. You have dropped the ball a bit.
WE WERE IN ON THE WEEKEND AND NEVER ENDED UP ORDERING ANYTHING, OR IN FACT BEING SERVED, AS TWO OF YOUR STAFF WERE FAR TOO BUSY HAVING AN ARGUMENT (BARISTA AND COUNTER STAFF) - WE WEREN'T THE ONLY CUSTOMERS THAT SAW THIS HAPPENING EITHER.
I ALSO LEFT A REVIEW ON FACEBOOK TO THIS EFFECT (AND I NOTICED THAT THERE HAVE BEEN A FEW NEGATIVE REVIEWS LATELY AS WELL), ONLY TO FIND THAT SAID REVIEW HAS BEEN REMOVED AND I HAVE BEEN BLOCKED. IF YOU GUYS ARE GOING TO TOLERATE THIS SORT OF POOR/NON-EXISTENT SERVICE OVER BEING NOTIFIED OF IT THEN GOOD LUCK - IN A TOWN THE SIZE OF NP YOU HAVE TO BE VERY GOOD AT WHAT YOU DO, PARTICULARLY WITH SO MANY EXCELLENT CAFES TO CHOOSE FROM, AND IF THIS IS YOUR STANDARD THEN I CERTAINLY WON'T BE BACK AND I WON'T BE HESITATING TO SPREAD THE WORD.
Lovely staff! A lady forgot to bring me my muffin so she gave another one to make up for it and was very apologetic. Thank you!? Very tasty food!
Had the beef burger which was really good, went to get up and get a drink and one of the waitresses just cleared my table without even asking if I was finished.
Super bad customer service. The staff is super rude and racist. Not even a smile on their face when taking the orders like they’re being forced to work. When I ordered a mocha with 3 sugars the waitress who took my order made a face and smirked at the other staff. I’ve worked in the same industry too and I know that we serve what the customer asks for and we are not in the place to question or make fun at what they choose no matter how unhealthy or ridiculous it sounds. It’s the basics in Hospitality. That made me very upset angry. Never going back. The staff could really use a lesson of customer service.
Great food and coffee. Although their caramel milkshakes taste funnily enough, only like milk. Other than they need to add more flavouring, great place.
