Amazing atmosphere and staff. Good quality food/booze/brunch. The on duty manager Mrs. Langlands was incredibly attentive to our groups needs. A must try venue in South Taranaki.

Really enjoyed eating at Rough Habits Sports bar. Staff were very attentive without being over bearing. Meals were delicious and definitely plenty on plate. Prices very reasonable. Keep up the good work team.

Highly recommend! Dined here for dinner tonight, and the food was delicious! The staff were friendly and accomodating and the service and atmosphere was awesome! The food came out fast and hot. The portion size was decent as well. I ordered the mussel pot expecting there only be like 8 mussels. Mate, the bowl was full and so delicious! I also had the Fettuccine which was the best I've ever had tbh, and my mother had the lamb shank which just melted off the bone. The cheesey garlic bread and Pork Belly was also delicious. Coming from the city, Roughies is probably the most decent, quality and best restaurant in Hawera!

Best customer service ever, we’re up here doing road works for 3 months, our motel has no restaurant-so we heavily rely on charge backs from a few establishments, Rough Habits has gone above and beyond in their ordering and delivery system! Couldn’t ask for more?

We went for an early dinner at Rough Habits.and absolutely loved it! They were so friendly and helpful and it's one of the cleanest and tidiest bars/ restaurants I've ever seen. From the tables and menus, to the bathrooms and even the baby's highchair. All spotless!

The food was amazing and very good value for money. I can see why it's also a popular place to get a takeaway meal.

If we didn't live an hour away, we'd become regulars for sure.

I have only been here twice and both times the food was practically inedible. Don't eat here can make 10 times better at home I would rather have eaten 2mimute noodles

My partner and I met my sister and her husband for lunch in what was once our home town. It was great to experience fantastic food and exceptional table service. Well done Roughies!

I just finished one of the best spare ribs ever. All I can say is Wow.soft and silky. I will be back.

Originally put a one star for the first time we visited with a large group of over 20 due to the service. Second occasion we come with over 30 people, our waitstaff Summer handled it to the best standards.

Reasonable family restaurant serving pub style meals that are presented quickly. Our desserts arguably better quality than our mains. Atmosphere not great.very noisy and a screaming child from the large family at next table didn't help. And no photo that I could find of the great Rough Habit after which the restaurant is named.

Lovely brunch on Sunday. Pancakes were perfect size and delicious. Waffles on offer as well as your normal eggs bene and a very filling omelet. Coffee ok too

Great prices for drinks here, even for mixed spirits.
We loved the platters too. They had a variety in them and the size was.
Only thing we didn't like was table service, which I suppose is a government rule.

Absolutely disgusting! I spent 100$ on take aways and everything ended up on the inside of the box. So I rung up and got by money back. Also The manager there named lisa has the worst attitude for hospitality work. Not impressed at all.
