Rough Habits Sports Bar & Cafe reviews
58Booked a table for 2 for hubbys birthday and this place didnt disappoint. The Cheesy Garlic Bread is yummo, hubby had the Scotch Fillet and it was cooked perfectly, i had the Chicken & Bacon Crépe and loved it average prices, big portions and amazing staff; we will be back!
Loved it. Super great staff and service. Food was made really quickly espeacily since there was alot of people there at the time. Food was delicious and filling. Starter cheesey Gaelic bread was so good.
We thought wed try the Monday $20.00 steak meal so glad we did meal and service was exceptional service was both friendly and professional.many thanks once we can well be back to support local many thanks and well wishes to all
We've been going to Roughies for most family birthday dinners for 15 years now, but after last week we won't be going back. They used to be dependable for good service and adequate meals but our last meal there was horrible; we heard they'd changed hands so that's probably the reason. We always order the same things every time so we were pretty disappointed when our usual entrées came 1/3 the size they usually are, at a higher price. Many of us ordered the fish and all of us agreed it tasted very off so all the plates of fish went mostly uneaten; the veges, too, were hard, crunchy and inedible. We mentioned the fish to the waitstaff as we were worried others might get sick and he called over the owner who went off at us saying that she hadn't tried it but it was fresh and therefore we were all wrong, generally making us all feel really stink. The birthday vibe was totally ruined. My boyfriend was so angry at how we'd been treated that he suggested we go elsewhere for dessert as we couldn't bear to stay and finish. So yeah. Roughies. Thanks for 15 years of good service but now you've finally lived up to your nickname.
Visiting this location from out of town, was finding it hard to find a place to eat but decided on this place and it was worth it. Service was outstanding. Really friendly and welcoming staff. Food was good. It is quite uncommon for me to get a rare steak when I order one.
Have always been a regular customer eating here about 3 times a year and normally very good food and service. Went here last week and entrees were fine as well as the puddings. As for the mains my wife's scallops were burnt and my gurnard was soggy and not that fresh going by the smell. Absolute shame but really that keen on going back.
We went a while back, passing through stopped for lunch.
If the name didn't raise a red flag, the grease smell as you enter will.
Food was ghastly and salty, just like the waitresses attitude.
Would not recommend.
ROUGH RABITS. (50th celebration) One I would not recommend this place for functions. We were told up stairs was our family gathering, absolutely shocked! Was a very dull boring room we a arrived around 6pm we walked into a sad looking room with table clothes missing forks and knives no jugs of water glasses, very cold awful area, we were all devastated. Our meals had take like 31/2 hours, in the end we were all getting frustrated, our family children had to wait till 8pm to be feed the food was poor and very average, some of us went down stairs and canceled our meals, we had one watier doing everything, plus he looked flushed and run off his feet, his shirt was ripped down his side he was all over the place with our meals, every one so hungry some traveled a long way. Some waited because they were so hungry food was poor and yuck would never go back here. The owner was rude
Rough habits is under new management and the ambince is noticably different.roughies is the best place in town to have a fantastic time and a decently priced meal.
Congratulations to the new innkeepers
Great spot, the steak I got was huge and cooked perfectly next time I'm in town ill be coming back for the food
Was a beatiful meal and beatiful place to go I would diffently go back again and dine their fully recommended
Lovely meals and desserts, with variety of choices. Good portions. Very good service, as hadn't booked, but made table available within certain time. Abit noisy, due to rugby on.
Beer selection was poor. Service was terrible and very slow considering the plate sizes of food. For the price of a meal that didn't even fill me up. I was disappointed
Wow an amazing place very lovely customer service very friendly staff members. The food was amazing and so good was quite fulling which was nice very good pub food was very yummy and delicious
It has the popular beers, but the selection wasn't too my taste.
