Spotlight New Plymouth

I was in a queue behind two other people and the customer being served was taking quite a while and the staff member at the other counter (who had just finished serving someone) just walked past us without offering to serve us. When I asked she said that due to covid they only had one till open, however there are other counters in the store and she could have offered to serve us there. Another staff member overheard and did offer to serve at another counter, but the attitude of the staff member ignoring us and then going to a display area and talking to another staff member about something she had bought was extremely rude.

Looked online for what I needed, said in stock, so tripped in 1hour 15 minutes, discovered the stuff I wanted wasn't there.staff "too busy" to assist, so I left.

My neighbor offered to make some cushions for us to match our lounge suite we have just purchased. She told me the measurements for each cushion so I went down alone to spotlight to get the fabric. I told her the sizes my neighbor had relayed and reiterated the fact that I knew nothing about materials, sizes etc and that I was relying on her to sell me the correct amount of fabric to suit my needs. The lady at the counter who served me duly sold me the fabric. On arriving home and getting my neighbor to come over to check out the fabric we found that the fabrics were not able to be made into the correct sizes. She had sold me the wrong amount of materials. We could only get three instead of five cushions of a smaller size than what I had stipulated out of each piece of fabric. I was devastated. Get it right next time please spotlight!

Workers don't help and aren't all that friendly. It's hard to find what youbwamt as it's minimum stuff there.

Shopping here is ok. Staff aren't overly friendly or helpful so it's best you know what you want

Always busy. Often out of stock of items which can be annoying. There is a lovely girl at the checkout with a hearing impairment whom may get you to write down your phone number, to input your spotlight card. She was very polite, helpful and I feel more favorable towards spotlight in having staff with disability front and centre. They would benefit habing more staff on the floor overall as it can take time to get assistance and they have so many products that require assistance to access or require expert help.

It's spotlight.staff aren't happy.you ask for help and they tell you where to find it. (pointing that area).

What knitting patterns there are are in such mess it takes too much time to go through them

Very nice gentlemen served us but no one around to ask for help on the floor. He was busy serving only one around on the counter by the door

Generally has everything you need. Most staff are superb but on a rare occasion you get one that is just miserable.

Some great products here, however I have always found majority of the staff unfriendly and unhelpful when I ask where things are or if they have a certain product.

Great prices with even greater specials. Big shop with lots of variety. Free off street parking.

Very busy.can get crowded.lots of stock and space limited but we'll laid out and over all a pleasant shopping experience.

Enjoy the search for the right item. Or find the right special. They are able to help with most questions. Wonderful place easy to get lost in time.

Spacious and has everything we needed to complete our project. Could use a few more double sheets though lol.

As a very regular customer my experience in store is most often great. However, I wish items were priced. And Gold card holders are made aware of the discount they may be entitled to.

Spotlight anywhere is the best, hoped into this shop to grab a blind for the windows, it's amazing you'll always find what you're looking for.

Always huge variety of items and good specials, found this time parking was impossible to get many times so left. Never appears to be enough staff on very slow to serve. Otherwise great store!

Wide range of knitting wool but not a big selection of baby knitting patterns. Great service though.
