Cafe Melbourne reviews
75Very weak espresso. Ordered a piccolo and it was like a very small watery latte. I wouldn’t recommend coffee here.
Well executed menu. No probelms with the service. Fair wait time. Good atmosphere. Coffee was luke warm. Can't falt the food.
Owner was snotty
Don't put butter on toast before serving. I don't like much butter and don't like my toast buttered without being asked.
Great coffee very good food, nice atmosphere and a nice outdoor area. Also craft shops and a small plant n flower shop.
So cool having a Melbourne style laneway eatery in Thames, the locals are very lucky. I will stop here everytime on my way around the Coromandel peninsula after having a culinary experience today that was absolutely flawless.
Great space inside or out, lovely food selection, coffee excellent. Plus nice craft shops etc close by.
Such a lovely cafe, guy on the register super friendly, yummy food in a beautiful wee garden!
Great little pit stop for some awesome coffee, as long as you don't mind the wait it can get quite busy!
Friendly staff, food was excellent. Had the chefs special crispy prawn tacos, so good. Iced chocolate was so good also. Would definitely recommend if you're in Thames.
This little cafe is very nice and we have enjoyed the atmosphere!
Simple and good food
Quick service
Quaint little place and a little off the road to Auckland. It has specialty shops contained within the cafe itself, which is what makes this place unique. Food is alright and portions were a little smaller than what's usually found in NZ.
The neighborhood it is found in is really cool tho, like something out of a movie set for a cowboy western genre.
Apart from the beautifully prepared delicious food, there are small interesting shops- plant shop, homewares, etc.within. We enjoyed the pairing of awesome service and the laidback, hip vibe. A+
Do yourself a favour and pop in for breakfast. Great trendy venue, awesome food and fantastic service!
Great little eatery with very good food and wine.run by a man from Melbourne who met & married a local from Thames. Very interesting to see a lot of Melbourne colour & customs on display.definitely recommended and the bill was very reasonable considering we fed 6 people. Give it a go.you won't regret it
I was just here with my parents and although I didn't know what "Freeky chicken" was, it was really good! I'm not much for heat so the optional sauce was a bit too much for me but the chicken and salad was amazing.
Went to Melbourne Cafe again recently for a 90th birthday party. The food was to die for and the service could not be faulted. Cass and Vic are the best and run a very professional and friendly team.
Well well well. What a lovely location for a first date that has blossomed quite nicely. Great place with top notch atmosphere and service! We love coming back to rekindle our first coffee visit!
Scrumptious Turkish pide, perfect latte, friendly staff, pleasant vibe, great choice of seating options.our "go-to" cafe when we manage to escape The Big City:)
Amazing cooked breakfast very friendly staff who were so so busy but still smiling. Highly recommended.
We had the best experience here. We sat in the alleyway on a gorgeous day. A staff member offered to move the sign near our table so I could sit on the other side and not have the sun full in my face. Very observant and thoughtful! Also, the cheese scones and coffee were perfect. All serving staff were masked.
