Eggsentric Cafe And Restaurant reviews
60Delicious coffee and amazing homemade food. We had the muffins cakes and cooked breakfast and everything was top notch! Lovely garden too
Homemade Gelato was amazing, far better than I expected to find out on Coromandel Peninsula.
Such a lovely find. Very cute and eclectic spot. Surprisingly good food, local craft beer and friendly staff. Definitely worth a stop. Was only sad that I was too full to try the ice cream
Lovely wholesome locally sourced food. The staff were very warm and attentive. It's a very chilled out dining vibe.
Great coffee and ambience out in the garden. The food was great, I had the waffles which were the best I’ve had for a while and the granola was also a hit!
Best carrot cake ever, we came all the way from Cambridge UK to taste it. Lovely staff and a gorgeous garden to sit in.
Turned up just before knock off time - 9 of us. Firstly impressed because the young staff were all sitting down to an amazing meal cooked by the chef. Place had a beautiful ambience and the food was unique and absolutely delicious. Seafood was fresh, lots of options and staff were cheerful and accommodating. Left with a big load of freshly warm sourdough.
I loved the house dog and walking around looking at the art as we waited for the food. The karage chicken was absolutely beautiful and the lamb ribs were delicious though the star anise was a little too potent. Lovely atmosphere and experience though.
A long overdue review for our fav place for brunch most weekends! A clear winner in the following coromandel peninsula cafe categories; Local fish meal (including dealing with dietary restrictions), karage chicken, coffee, ice cream/gelato (gluten free/ vegan coconut bounty is a must try for anyone) cakes (carrot & choc are infamous) pies (homemade & next level) - & that’s only what we’ve tried from the menu so far. Service - owners & staff are all amazing, super chill vibe & toddler loves the playground/park out the back where we sit at one of the tables under the trees surrounded by the gardens (paradise much?). Special shout out to Lenny the dog for befriending my toddler who otherwise wouldn’t like dogs. Thanks also to the team for making us feel like part of the family (or furniture? !). Regardless we are in no way affiliated & I’m a very picky eater to say the least. This is the place to go but just don’t take my table (‘slide’ FYI).
The garden was pretty and cute. Of course, the food was also yummy! It was the most delicious egg benedict I've ever eaten. The doggy whose name is maybe LENNY is energetic and lovely:)
Twas great coffee and awesomeness muffins, just ask Lenny.
Ps he likes retrieving sticks
Had lunch their twice during our stay at Whitianga, best carrot cake ever and my husband loved the pies. Coffees were fabulous and service great!
Love our regular trips to the egg! This time I got the eggs bene with fish, it was sooooo yummmm! I can’t stop thinking about it! Dog and kid friendly. Lovely friendly staff. We always get the coconut gelato on the way home.
Generous portions and available for takeaway as well as eat-in.
The mussels weren’t that great but the fish and chips were very tasty.
Sadly no tartare sauce (only Mayo) despite the menu stating otherwise.
Great setting along an amazing beach. Quiet and humble and delicious food and atmosphere.
We sat out in the front garden and had a coffee and pie. Was delicious and dog friendly too.
Looking forward to our next visit.
Thanks team
A little gem, shabby look in a cool way with a real ambience and delicious coffee and cake to boot, a must if your passing. Even a little something to take away.
Wow, the guys @ eggcentric cafe really understand food and flavour. So much thought and love went into the food. The karage chicken salad was just amazing and the quiche salad was beautifully prepared. WELL DONE!
The most AMAZING place to eat! The Miso Mushrooms are just perfect!
The friendly service and the lovable and playful dog, Lenny, made the experience even more outstanding!
I would strongly recommend checking Eggsentric out!
