Furnace Restaurant Bar & Nightclub reviews
73 Service was good. Food was okay. Try some seasoning. You are not in the class with Pallet so prices should not compare.
Decor could do with an update.
Great friendly staff fast service lovely big breakfast and a very good coffee thanks to the friendly staff really makes it very enjoyable place to go
Service was very slow. Chowder had fish scales in it. Lamb was under cooked sent back and came back with less Lamb on the plate food was very average and over priced for what you got wouldn't recommend
Very average meal, and very very expensive. Food was bland.used to go here a lot, but based on recent experience I wouldnt go back.no way the meal was worth the price.
Awesome meal.pork belly scrumptious and desserts were amazing AND the most gorgeous waitresses.twins so double delight. Thank you Furnace for a wonderful evening
Food was delicious, especially the Beef Cheeks! Service was excellent couldn't fault our visit - will come again when next in Hamilton - recommend!
Delicious and I loved the deserts. It was great I was able to alter my meal to suit.
Thank you for the great service too.
First time to dine here with my family. Clean and appealing as a venue, attentive staff and great menu and well prepared food. A little pricey for those on a tight budget but otherwise a positive experience for our visit.
We went as a group for lunch on a sunday. Myself with my adult sons and their partners and 2 babys. 3months and 1 year. Although I would not recommend as "baby friendly " the staff were welcoming and supportive. Our assigned staff Amelia was fabulous. The food was fantastic. I would recommend making a booking though we were welcomed without one and walk ins are not a problem. All staff were helpful. We tried a range of dishes. The mac n cheese was to die for and a true guilty pleasure. There was Heineken on tap as well as a good range of other beers and the atmosphere is comfortable and had both indoor and outdoor seating. I would return anytime.
Furnace has been our favourite family restaurant for many years. We had dinner there last night. Unfortunately, it was quite disappointing: the pork main was just pork fat (likely why one woman was ill in the night) ; we made a point of asking the waitress for gluten free bread (as one member has celiac) where the waitress checked with the kitchen and advised us that would be ok. However, unbeknown to us "normal" bread was served resulting in a very sick woman the rest of the night; the wine waiter appeared to be quite flustered all evening bringing incorrect drinks to our table and then forgetting drinks we had ordered. Not a relaxing family night out.
Had the best rump steak I've had in years. It was tender and well cooked. The waitress was attentive and excelled in service delivery. The atmosphere was lovely and vibrant. Really enjoyed my one night in Hamilton I will definitely come back here
Customer service was great, unfortunately my beef cheek was on the burnt side. My friends got the steak and they loved it
Had a fun reunion with friends from overseas. The Beef Cheek meal I had was delicious and our waitress was very attentive.
My wife and I had dinner at Furnace last night and the service was excellent; friendly, efficient and attentive without being intrusive.
I had the 500gm Signature Rib Eye Steak with red wine jus, duck fat chips and roasted mushrooms. My wife had the Scotch Fillet with green peppercorn sauce, with baked potato and steamed vegetables. Everything was delicious.
In particular, the steaks were perfect and honestly I think the best we've ever had, and we've experienced some of the finest restaurants in London, Los Angeles and Sydney over the years.
Highly recommended, at least 5 stars!
It was lovely. Unfortunately the fish meal was a little dry for my friend. I was a little annoyed yet comprehensible that the waitress would break our conversation to ask how the meal was. However their service was impeccable. I had an enjoyable evening and my first braised lamb Thank you Furnace Steakhouse. Lamb - Fish - Pork
I can't quite put my finger on it. Food, service and surroundings are quality. It just doesn't feel as emotionally warm and intimate as other, less upmarket, eateries. Somehow an unordered bottle of wine found its way into our bill, but that was rectified when we pointed it out. Still, I keep coming back here.
Cool inside with comfortable seating.
Steaks cooked to perfection and the side of mac and cheese is amazing.
Great food! I am not a steak eater but I would recommend the signature rib eye. I would gladly eat steak more often if this is the way it comes out all the time. And the staff is very friendly.
Not the best dining experience, especially considering the price. The staff seemed to really struggle with taking and delivering orders, despite the restaurant not being particularly busy. It took several attempts to get the drinks order alone correct. The food was quite good though, just smaller portions than you'd expect, especially with steaks being up in the $40 range. Overall it was average, nothing particularly stood out as being either good or bad
What a lovely experience. Really great service and the food was on point! Highly recommended if you happen to be in Hamilton. Reservations is recommended as they do get busy for dinner.
