L & P Cafe, Bar & Brasserie

I came into the L&P cafe today for a coffee with my dad, and the milk was sour/gone bad. Absolutely disgusting. Did not even apologise.

Couple of points about this cafe:

1. The L&P milkshake was okay, nothing amazing, it was definitely overpriced, and the coffee we received was burnt and tasted horrible.

2. Be prepared to receive terrible service. The older lady who served us was very short and obviously had no customer service training, or just couldnt be bothered with trying. Could have got her on a bad day but her service was pitiful, she couldn't even muster up a smile.

3. Wait-times: The wait time for one L&P Milkshake should not be over 15 minutes, ESPECIALLY at a Cafe priding itself on the L&P brand.

I usually don't do bad reviews but look at the good reviews it clearly doesn't reflect in the cafe/service. Avoid if you are travelling through and want to stop for a "quick" milkshake.

Very easy to fix issues, but it depends on the staff and business owners receptiveness to constructive criticism.

Guy behind counter wouldn't have him front house pie way to hot to eat coffee best part won't recommend

Great stop over for the iconic LP drink.
Nothing beats it on a hot car trip.
Big bottle marks a wee wee stop and a stretch before heading off again.

Nice sausie roll, had a meeting with my pastor, nice n quiet atmosphere, n prayers were made, must try their pies next time they've got a bit of a rep

The meals were nice. BUT one meal was fish and chips, the batter on the fish was undercooked, thick, mushy and just awful. Told the waitress to show it to the chef but never heard back. Poor service if you want people to return, especially locals.
Service okay.

Would have been nice if my beef and bacon burger had bacon on it and the few chips it came with weren't burnt

We have passed by here many times and finally made our first stop. It's clean and bright with lots of parking. Your general kiwi cafe fare. Coffees were good. Service was present. A nice place to stop in Paeroa and just opposite the park for kids!

I had the kids pancakes for $10 it is the perfect size meal for adults who are small eaters. Was delicious aswell! There is a cute miniature version of the L&P bottle outside of the cafe also. Would love to visit again.

Rang and booked dinner for 8 then rang and changed the time. No problem. Service was great. Food was great. And nice and cool on a very hot day. We all enjoyed it.

Had all you can eat ribs. 1st plate came out good from then on not alot of effort put into the rest.

Food was absolutely amazing! Honestly we would drive back to paeroa just to eat here. Took a little long to come out but we were a big group so understandable. Aside from that it was awesome service and amazing food! I've thought about the stuffed chicken breast ever since we ate there earlier this month lol

If you want a nice fast serving cafe with a quiet environment with amazing food.go somewhere else

Excellent coffee, we had a second one. The best gluten free bread toasted sandwich for a while. Toilets very clean

Amazing experience! Very very accommodating for celiac needs. Service with a smile. Lovely setting with heaps of cool different seating options!

Lovely meals and service, here. Prices are very reasonable for the awesome quality and even, the chips made wonderfully. Be coming back here for sure.

We always enjoy this cafe. Staff friendly & helpful. Seating is well set out & plenty of room. Food yummy.

Very good best toasted bacon and egg sandwich I have had proper bacon not middle bacon and coffee great. Have been there before always excellent

Expensive but food was nice~ Just sick of barking travelers Sick Sick Sick of~~ Don't yell at indoor area.

Nice atmosphere and setting just replace your cooks. 4 steaks ordered at medium rare and the come out past well done. Bit disappointing for a $240 bill
