L & P Cafe, Bar & Brasserie reviews
63Ordered a meal that was on the menu and I'm guessing they had run out because chicken wings must be on.instead the team offered us pork ribs that were fall off the bone amazing! No faults with all 5 meals ordered, Cheers team absolutely delicious
Really great food, I had the pasta, really well cooked with cream sauce and chick and my partner had the ribs which were delicious also! Definitely worth a visit if you are in the neighbourhood!
Normally I give it 5 stars but recent menu changes have disappointed. Cured me of having the waffles as no berries anymore. Small changes to build a breakfast seems to be just a way of increasing prices
The food didn't quite match the price. The calamari salad was extremely greasy to the point my partner couldn't eat it. The burger was overly greasy too (even for a burger). Would suggest cutting back on the grease
Lambs fry is not very appealing most of it just taste like kidney and its quite bland would not recommend usually come in and get waffles those are good, but yeah no go on the lambs fry
Had a lovely lunch today. Calamari was crispy and very enjoyable. Service was great. Thank you.
What a horrid place. Ignored on arrival, menus stuck to counter, gluten free options gabbled to me by the coffee maker.
Fish and chips like really bad - chips inedible fish overcooked and goodness knows what frozen type fish it was.
Toasted sandwich I cd make a better one at home.
Reviews were good for this cafe - I can’t believe them.
The lady in charge of the birthday party could have acknowledged us as we entered instead of standing talking to the birthday group right in our way. Hated it all won’t ever be back
Always reliable to call in and get a bite to eat on our way home. Good sized portions and nice coffee.
I don't understand wht there werent more diners. We were a party of 14 and all really enjoyed our meals. Very generous size servings
Dropped in while passing by. New modern deco and spacious cafe. Comfortable setting for big groups or families with young children. Serving variety of food including L&P ice-creams. Great place to stop for a break when passing through
Food was very good, unfortunately the service was very poor. The manager (50ish year old lady) really couldn’t be bothered, I’d imagine they live off the tourist hype and that’s why they don’t need to bother about service.
We stopped in for a late lunch. The place has a lot seating. Booths, tables and outdoor area. I had chicken, bacon fettuccine, and my partner had the Big L&P burger. The wait wasn't too long, and both meals were outstanding. The cost was above average with both meals and 2 beers costing $55nz. It only got 4/5 stars due to the place being a little bit untidy. Otherwise would recommend it.
The L&P drink itself is nothing to write home about. Ordered the Paeroa Burger, the Angus beef patties were great! Caesar salad fine and service was old school friendly. Will come back again for the burger if passing through.
We just had to visit whilst passing. I had my first taste of L&P, also had a coffee and burger, all were promptly served, by friendly staff. Burger was lovely, big and filling. Cafe was clean and tidy. Would recommend to anyone.
Nice restaurant with lovely staff. Meals were really generous. Highly recommend the steak with mushroom sauce.
Just had to visit this iconic site.
Had a very yummy mince pie & milkshake.
Reasonably busy place with a large range on offer. Well set up for dining.
Friendly team who make you feel welcome the moment you step foot in the door.
Wow, sometimes you can visit restaurants and be blown away. Just had some amazing salt & pepper squid with salad $18 and my wife had beautiful snapper, chip s & salad $25NZ. Well presented, tasted great. Well worth the stop. A hidden gem in Paeroa. Good service.
Yep its a cafe with good atmosphere and great food
Well worth the visit
Great off street parking and plenty of room
Coffee isn’t too bad either
I went to the L & P Cafe this evening. I found the staff and the food, both equally exceptional. The food was fresh, hot and well presented. The menu was very good value for money and will certainly be stopping there again. Thanks to the Team at L&P Cafe Paeroa. AAAAAAAA+
