Had the loveliest tasting here today with Danny! What an amazing person with so many interesting stories. By far the best service I have ever received, ever. If you are in the area make sure to pop in to try their amazing liquers and experience the service for yourself!

What a hidden gem！came with Shannon today, believe me that you don’t want to miss this winery if you come to cooks beach, lovely owners and fabulous wine.

We popped in for a tasting, Danny was such a great host and we were made to feel very welcome. Sampled lots of great wines with amazing flavours and got to learn a bit about the history of the area, not to mention the most beautiful views. This was such a unique experience and would definitely recommend stopping in and saying hi to Danny, he will send you off laughing!

Our visit to Purangi Winery last weekend was a wonderful surprise and delight. We came for the wine tasting but ended up trying and buying a selection of delicious liquors. What made this visit memorable though, was the great knowledge and commentary from Danny on a variety of topics and history. We look forward to coming back here again the next time we are in Whitianga.

Had the best impromptu tasting with Danny. Such an experience to remember with some really delicious and interesting liqueurs. Really unlike any other "wine tasting" I've been to. It was so much fun and left with a huge smile on our faces. Danny has a river of knowledge and some great stories topped off with some incredibly creative delivery. Highly recommend. (Bonus the view from up top is amazing too)

The winery is now part of the hot water brewing company in Whenuakite. The beer tasting and food were great but the fruit wine tasting was fantastic!

Fantastic experience. Lovely time, very highly reccomended. A relaxed place with fantastic view and even better drinking! A real must do!

Driving up a gravelly road to a tasting done In a shipping container, we were already pretty happy with the stunning view of the bay that hits you immediately. The hospitality and depth of knowledge of the winemaker was exceptional, which paired perfectly with the quality of the varied alcohols based off local and foreign fruits. I've also never had as much fun tasting wines, as the winemaker had as laughing constantly despite my suspicion that I was only quick enough to catch half of his jokes. This is a must visit for those coming to cathedral cove.

Ordered calamari and wood fired pizza. Thoroughly enjoyed it! Place exudes a lot of character.if youre into a rustic look and feel and would love a good meal over conversations and of course, wine.this is the place for you

Went there thinking we would taste some wine. We were instead pleasantly greeted immediately and presented with shot glasses topped up with ginger liquer and soda water. Fruit liquer tasting at its best and a must do for every visitor or tourist passing through.
