Awesome place to stay. So clean and close to shops, beach, supermarkets, estuary for doggy walking. Just amazing!

Best. Campground. Ever! The hosts, Joe and Ruby, bend over backwards to ensure your stay is the best it can possibly be. The amenities are clean, everything is well maintained and kept up to scratch all the time despite how busy it is. It’s family and doggo friendly and situated right in the heart of the picturesque beach town of Tairua, what’s not to love? Can’t wait to return.

Awesome campsite with very welcoming host! Facilities Always Clean and tidy, and overall very homely. Loved both our stays here (Akl anniversary & Easter) can’t wait to come back and stay again.

Great camping ground nestled in Tairua close to township, harbour, beach. Lots of places to explore. It's small camping ground, yet provides safe spot for children and families alike and their four legged family members. Definitely recommend.

Wow. Just wow. I've stayed at a few campsites and this is definitely one of the very best! Joe and Ruby are absolutely amazing, warm and friendly hosts, their campsite has EXCELLENT facilities, which are all maintained to the highest standard. Only a stone's throw away from the beach and the locals are so welcoming, warm and friendly. Gutted I have to leave! Make no mistake this will be the first of many visits here, thank you Joe & Ruby for a wonderful stay in a beautiful place!

Great people. We booked on the road there and arrived at 8.15p.m. They had just had a weekend retreat on and tents with mattresses still up. They offered them to us to use so we didn't need to set up ours. We then had time to explore Tairua and made it to the beach club for a couple of beers. Clean and great amenities. We will be back.

I would highly recommend this camp ground to everybody, Awesome couple who run this camp ground and just a walk around the corner to all the amenities close by. AAA+

The perfect place for relaxing and my favorite of 2020. Met some amazing folk and we shared stories while we drank. So clean and refreshing. So many activities to make the most of our time there and the hospitality is homely. Healing and marvelous.

Excellent place for an overnight stay. Owner are chill and helped us with our vehicle when we had trouble starting. Would definitely recommend if passing through.

Great staff. Short walk to a great location where the beach is safe for young children to play in.

All I can say is what a couple of legends! Joe and Ruby, thank you for all you help, friendly and just awesome! Had an 8 month old baby and needed a bucket to bath in, no problem, Joe sorted us out. Just really made us feel at home. Great location, clean facilities. Would give 10stars if I could!

Had such a great stay in Tairua - the campground was near empty, but the owner's family were so warm and welcoming. They gave us some great hints and tips on where to eat, where to walk and made us feel right at home. Everything is within walking distance and the campground facilities were so clean, tidy and comfortable. 10/10 would definitely visit again!

This is a tricky one.
I booked 2 nights at the camp after seeing pics. We arrived, no one at reception just a note saying pick a space.
The grounds are tidy and it is close to the shops and across from the estuary and offered a simple kitchen, toilet block and patch of grass.
We didn't stay the two nights. There was no camp vibe at all. No trampoline or games room for kids to play on. There was only 1 campervan parked up. No camp "community" vibe at all. No trampoline or ground for kids to play in. No games room.
I was disappointed that they don't refund, they take your full payment ASAP when booking.
To be honest, I wouldn't even book here again if I didnt have kids with me. Possibly the place works in summer if everywhere else is booked.
