We had been recommended this place from two different Indian locals, and it did not disappoint. After being greeted by Grace who was smiley and welcoming we quickly and ordered popadoms and a starter of Manchurian followed by two main dishes of Butter Paneer and Aloo Gobi with a side of garlic Naan bread (complimentary rice was also served) we would highly recommend all the dishes but our favourite was the Manchurian. We had so much food for the two of us we got some takeaway. We will definitely come back on our next trip to Taupo.

I had a wonderful experience at the Taupo Indian cuisine restaurant, Taupo, and I wanted to give a special shout-out to Grace for making it truly exceptional. Grace’s friendly manner added to the wonderful dining experience and made it truly enjoyable. She was attentive to all customers needs, provided helpful recommendations, and ensured that everything was perfect throughout my meal. Grace’s dedication to her work and her ability to make customers feel valued really stood out. I highly recommend visiting the restaurant and having the pleasure of being served by Grace. We have had takeaway from Taupo Indian Cuisine a couple of times now, they are located out in the suburbs so are very convenient.
They have a great range on their menu and I feel are very reasonably priced.
I have been very happy with the meals that we have had from here and we are thinking we should dine in next time.

Jumped in at 14: 00 (they close at 14: 30). I got a speedy service and Naan and the Chicken Madras was great.

Beautiful food, ambience great, staff very friendly and informative. Indoor/Outdoor eating. Vegan/Vegetarian options available. It's clean and moderately priced.

We ordered two of the curry combo deals online for delivery.
The chicken madras was the nicest we had tasted for a long time.

Grabbed some takeaways. Mild was really tasty and Medium had the zing you want. Really good.

I had very bad experience with this restaurant. The lady at the counter she refused to give us a empty container and ask for money if we wanted one. Very very rude behaviour. 1/10.

Always lovely to dine in. Food is always yummy and as usual walk out with extra food because I couldn't eat it all.

Wait was a bit long but, it was the best Indian food I ever had in NZ! Incredible taste, we really enjoyed it and can’t wait to go down to Taupo to have a meal there again!

Friday I ordered onion bhaji that was tasty no issues with it. The plum sauce was watery and the Goan fish was too spicy I asked for mild and did not get that I was disappointed.

Hands down the the worst curry i have ever tasted. Ordered a butter chicken and got a bowl full of orange maple syrup. Absolutly disgusting.
