The best Thai we've had in ages. Great veggie options too. Plenty of space for big groups and friendly staff

Ordered the panang curry, after waiting an hour my whole table had their meals and had almost finished when they gave me the rice to go with the curry. My curry still didn’t arrive after a further 15 or so minutes. I then asked where my curry was and they responded my wrong order. Cancelled my order and went to BK. The worst part was they still charged me for the rice I didn’t eat with my non existent curry.

The food was great. Just we had to wait for almost one hour for our first main dish to come up.

I make sure dine here at least once when ever I visit Taupo. Excellent restaurant, very delicious and tasty food, very friendly staff. Love this place.

Very fresh and authentic food - so tasty! Think the premises could do with a refurbishment but can be forgiven as the food was so good!

Very satisfied and happy with our visit to Taupo Thai. We ordered the whole snapper in Chilies, ginger and coriander. The flavors were delicious - sweet and spicy and fragrant. We also had a vegetarian dish with tofu and vegetables with basil, garlic and Chile which was excellent. Will come again next time we're in Taupo.

Food was nice the last time we went there, but try to ring to book a table is not great, have tried to ring several times on different days to book or cancel a booking. Nobody answers the phone, there also is no answer phone to leave a message. They might have to turn up the phone or get an answering machine.

Below in the photo is the 4 small spring rolls. They cost a whopping $11! My cashews and chicken stir fry was ok but again at $27 over priced. First and last time I went

Good service lovely food. Personally I've had better as I found my dish a little salty for my taste.

We dined in and the place was so busy! But staff were super friendly and welcoming. The restaurant had a lovely ambience. Food was delicious, and generously portioned. Well done.

Service was very poor, I had to chase the staff to place an order, then they forgot to deliver all of it despite promising to do so. The food that they delivered was ok but the experience was spoiled by the indifferent service. Not worth it.

Nice ambience and fairly quick service. Food was nice but not very hot, which brought down the star rating for me. Could've asked them to reheat but didn't!

Had a wonderful meal here. I was surprised they weren't busier but it was horrid weather and we did go early in the evening. Service was very good too.

Yumptious food & great service from Erun. New to the restaurant but been in hospitality - it showed. Was Mothers Day & all mothers had a free glass of wine. Lovely evening.

The meal was good. But then we saw the staff just wiping down the placemats only.
We lifted up our place mats and the table cloths were filthy.
In this day and age or personal hygiene with COVID 19, the table cloths should be spotless and changed after each sitting. Not a good look.
Shame a it really let the visit down.

Dined here Friday night. Fabulous service, fabulous food, excellent value for money, BYO. Will definitely dine here again.

Ordered the Drunken Noodles with chicken as a takeaway. The food was really good, tasty veges and the staff were friendly.

Sunday evening dinner. Not very busy but the service was great and food was superb. Had the combination entree followed by a Penang curry which was lovely. But dish of the evening was the stir fry prawns with tamarind. Absolutely delicious.

Great service, Chilli mussels were actually spicy as well as Green Curry as it should be, compared to other places. Really fresh ingredients as well.
Need some more signage out the front so it's not passed by!
