The Church Accommodation Hahei reviews
35Highly recommend. Really enjoyed our stay! Very peaceful and relaxing. Stayed for 5 nights (with a 1 year old) and it was perfect.
5 stars for the Church restaurant - thanks Mark & team for a wonderful meal - we really enjoyed ourselves. See you again soon
The Church Accommodation is really great. Clean property. We miss the restaurant food here for it was closed while we were here. Might open tomorrow for the weekend crowd. The host and his family was very kind, friendly and helpful. Thank you guys for the lovely stay. Will see u again.
Very clean, spacious, quiet! We loved this place, i recommend for family. At only 600 meter to the see!
No complaints. The little bungalows have everything you can need and each one has a back porch leading to an amazing lush garden.hahei is so small that you get to the stores, beach and restaurants in 5 minutes by foot. The Church accommodation also has a restaurant with excellent food. It was perfect.
I love this perfect place.
It’s convenient to anywhere.
The stuff is very friendly and helpful.
Booking earlier for a cheaper price.
So cute! The gardens were immaculate and felt wild. The beds were soft. The breakfast was tasty and light but a little overpriced. One downside was no a/c so right after sunset it was warm. We were there in spring so I can't imagine summer. Not worth taking off a star but something to be aware of.
This place is amazing. We went here at the end of March and loved the place. The owners are fantastic and give loads of super advice about stuff to do. The accommodation is brilliant, super clean and comfortable. Wish we could go back! 100% recommend
Absolutely spot on. Clean, close to the beach, helpful local knowledge.
We are winging it for our last few days in NZ visiting family and taking the plunge with accommodation. The Church beats them all no problem.
The place has great character. I stayed in a Garden Studio and found the room to be charming and comfortable. It is on the "edge" of town but that means very little considering how small Hahei actually is (can still walk everywhere in less than 1km).
Enjoyed a wonderful stay in The House with my family of 4. Walking distance to Hahei Beach and only a short drive to Hot Water Beach. Appreciated the access to a washer and dryer plus lots of games for the kids to enjoy. Thanks to a tip from our hostess we took a lovely trip to Lonely Bay one afternoon as well.
Lovely gardens, prolific birdlife. Basic but clean rooms. Excellent shower. Beds not 5 star but good. Privacy. Rustic on outside, new on inside, ideal. Super friendly staff.
Great, amazing - close enough to town centre but on the outskirts. Unique church themed units. Free towels & spade to borrow for hot water beach, very friendly Knowledgeable hostess. Was awesome to sit on the little balcony at night & see the stars in the sky. You knew there were other units close by but they have been laid out with privacy in mind. Really pretty & well cared for gardens all around make you feel quite secluded when in fact you have several other units very closenearby. Restaurant on site too, didn't try it on our 2 nights there but looked very nice. Would happily stay there again. Highly recommend.
Easy to find and located in a lovely area surrounded by nature.
Rooms are very spacious and beds comfortable.
Staff was very helpful and informative.
Hahei is a very quiet safe place and the church accommodation will provide you with tools to visit the hot beach and dig yourself a hot tub in the sand heated by the geothermal springs. This phenomena is very rare and amazing and you must try it out.
Rooms have pedestal fans, kitchen has a hob and all the utensils and cutlery needed to make yourself a nice breakfast.
The adjoining bistro is also known for it's food and highly recommended by the locals.
The hosts are amazing willing to share their depth of knowledge about the area all the way down to where to find the cheapest gas. There are a variety of options depending on your needs, from the studios (like a hotel room) to the garden cottages (a self contained bach/cabin with an open concept kitchen and living area + bathroom) to the three bedroom house. We love the garden cottage with the wood stove in the winter and find it's perfect for two people although the cottages can accommodate a family of 3-4. This is the perfect location for a lovely and relaxing getaway. I almost don't want to recommend out of fear I'll struggle to get reservations next time we want to head to the Coromandel. The Church is hands down the best accommodation in Hahei.
