The Original Thai Restaurant

Amazing! Thai food is my absolute favourite and Original Thai is undoubtedly the best in Hamilton. Everything we ordered was 10/10 and so was the service.

I’ve also never seen such intricate carrot garnishes before! They were a work of art, and just go to show the level of care at Original Thai. Can’t wait to try the whole menu!

The Thai food at this restaurant was genuinely the best I can recall having. The spring rolls we started with had a crispy outer layer unlike any I've had before. All our main dishes were excellent. I can't pick a single fault with any of them. The table was well decorated and the food presentation was also well done with fine details. The owner was very pleasant and helpful. Strongly recommend you try this place. If we lived in the area we would definitely make this a regular habit.

Lovely meal and atmosphere. Comment by one of our guests was that we always seem to meet there, and why not, food is always good.

Food was alright portion was small the thing that annoyed me the most was we phone ordered in from Original Thai online menu and when it came to pay i was over charged by $40 and was told that the online menu had not been updated for 3years and all the prices had gone up.

Update your online menu because that is called fulse advertising. Will not be going back there again.

Delicious meals, great friendly service. Beautifully decorated, really nice atmosphere. Had a chat to the owner at the end and what a
lovely lady she is. Definitely recommend it! Would certainly come back.

Got pad thai and pork fried rice. Not very nice tasting. Says it comes with vege but came with 5 very very small pieces of carrot.

Disappointing. I saw online they had coconut prawns and massamam curry so I was sold. Two stars for the tasty coconut prawns but that's it. The massamam was bland. A salty nothing, lacking any finesse. The waitress could see I wasn't enjoying it and asked if I would like spicier so I said yes. Out came another curry, not a massamam and again a disappointment. Bland and insipid. Turns out it was a green curry. I don't know what the chef is on, but neither curry dish deserve even one star. My walk back to the hotel only heightened the disappointment as I passed a dozen other restaurants that could have made my Hamilton dinner experience a good one.

Helpful staff, but food was bland had no good taste wish we had went to B. K would have saved alot more money, over priced

Absolutely lovely food. We stayed at Novatel and this restaurant is literally across the road, so handy if you don't want to walk or drive. We had takeaways 4 nights in a row.

Ate here a while back. Best Thai meal I have had. Ordered a duck Thai dish, and tasted amazing.

Ripped off price for take away.we ordered 4 mains and 1 spring roll all take away she charged us $113. MOST THAI TAKE AWAY CHARGE BETWEEN $15 to $17 MAX for take away.food portion was very mean and all we can taste was sugar and MSG.never go back there.
