Went above and beyond great coffee and food

Good range of cabinet items, and yay! CURLY fries. 1st time my granddaughter had them and she was really impressed. Forgot it was a public holiday so a 15% surcharge.

New owners with lovely menu. So many nice choices. I had the seafood chowder and my wife the banana waffles. Both excellent. Coffee and hot chocolate also very nice. No table service. Located on main street with outside tables. Certainly will be back.

Bad vibes! Was there three weeks ago and after having stomach surgery asked for scrambled eggs with nothing else. Was told sorry we're not doing scrambled eggs today. I said I don't care if you microwave it, you have milk and eggs so don't understand why you are saying no. Went to cafe behind who were most obliging.

Went back a second day for lunch, 1st day I had a ham sandwich and it was the best, 2nd day at first I was disappointed as there were no ham sandwich in the cabinet, to my relief they made one fresh, as good as the 1st, these are the best ham sandwich I've ever had.also the custard square in my view would be hard to beat. Thank you

We had breakfast with 6 children (pancakes, waffles and the big breakfast) and it was absolutely divine! Very generous portions as well!
The staff was exceptional, too!

Very arrogant lady owner and worst attitude towards staff as well as some customers and racist lady and worst customers service from that lady owner the other staff were good and food is below average. Not recommended at all for anyone. Do not waste your time and money here.

We had the Eggs Benedict and they were amazing. Everything was perfect. Hot drinks and service was great. Definitely coming back on next trip through Whangamata

Absolutely dreadful. Came here Easter Monday for breakfast, place looked quite busy. Ordered a large flat white and the “Big breakfast” which consisted of a cold miscellaneous meat sausage, frozen hash browns from countdown, overdone tomato’s, two eggs, two scraps of bacon and cheap, thinly sliced bread. $33 after public holiday surcharge applied. If paying for quality I could understand, but everything about this place is terrible. Service was all over the place, food coming out at different times and servers going to nearly every table in the cafe before finding the right one. I’d be disappointed to have paid the normal price for the rubbish I received but to also have to pay a surcharge on top is insulting. Felt completely ripped off here. Don’t charge top dollar prices if 1. Your food is terrible. 2. Your service is also terrible.

Came back for the third time today! Loved the rosti stack and salmon. Amazing food as always, keep up the great work!

Terrible experience. 42 mins to wait for a panini to be heated. Average at best.

Vege stack took 44 mins, average at best.

Much better places to visit here, I would avoid.

Extremely dissapointed with both service and food. Vege quiche was dry and bland. The accompanying salad was old and tiny.
Asked for a vege quiche takeaway and must've waited 15min for it, when it was already in the cabinet and all they had to do was put it in the microwave for 30 seconds.
I was there with my family and the entire time that we were there no one came and cleared our table. Even though we were all sitting there with empty plates, cups and mugs (while waiting for the takeaway quiche).

Poor service. 30 min wait for 2 bowls of chips. No explanation. Had to ask where food was as drinks had already been consumed. Was told it was 30min wait for food after we asked where food was.waitresses did not wear masks nor did they check for vaccine pass.

This probably has to be one of the worst establishments i have ever been to in my life. Words cannot describe how bad my tacos were. I could go on but I don't want to waste anymore of my time on this place.

Very busy when we visited but was well worth the wait. Clean, friendly with fresh food and good surroundings.
