Arashi Kushiyaki Bar reviews
6285% authentic Japanese food. The grilled food is really good. Very clean and nice restaurant with a Japanese atmosphere, good for drinks too.
Have been there three times and have had excellent service and food each time, great atmosphere for a nice BYO.beautifully decorated as-well:)
+The byo wine was great
+The atmosphere is cool and the decor is pretty Japanese
- definitely not authentic Japanese food.
My katsukare was disappointing and the meat was so thin. I don't think they understand that カツ means "cutlet", not "schnitzel" (I used to live in Japan)
- a bit pricey
We love this place, byo wine, delicious Japanese food and a great vibe. Can get very busy on Friday/Saturday nights but stuff handle it well.
Pretty average taste and service bit pricey for the quality they provide, alot of room for improvement specially in food.
The food is nice, I've been here a few times and each time the food is good.
It can be spicy which surprised me and others around me as I gave a cough as the spice hit the back of my throat.
Wasn't keen on the water on the last night when we were there as it tasted like bad tap water. Maybe the lemons they had in it was off.
I highly recommend this place based on my experience I was a little sketched out first because of the sketchy reviews but I think those people just don’t have good taste as I loved the food, I will definitely come back here as the service is amazing and the food is great!
Very good restaurant.
Good and fast service, delicious food and short waiting time. We tried the chicken ramen and the presentation was gorgeous. Will definitely be coming again.
Pricey n portion is small. Sad looking salad and miso soup. Staffs looks very rush and just chucked 3 spoons on table for miso soup upon request. Do they expect us to drink out of the bowl@ below expectation. Credit card charge 2%. Not recommended. Many other better eating place in town.
Asked for a menu item that was listed as vegetarian, i specifically asked the waitress for vegetarian, no seafood, and was then served vegetable and seafood tempura which i didnt eat as it was seafood and then was still charged for my meal even after telling the waitstaff the mistake.terrible service.
So I was kind of iffy about this place because of the reviews, but I really wanted to try their VISAWOAP crayfish ramen. Absolutely delicious. At first it was okay but the more I ate, the more I wanted. Broth was top notch. Ramen was cooked nicely with still a bit of chew to it. Service was okay, but looking at the opening times, they probably work 12+ hours a day 7 days a week so I'd feel the same way too.
The waitress is cold and intense, the food doesn’t taste like Japanese at all. We’ve been to many restaurants run by local Japanese, every single one is better than this place. We ordered teriyaki chicken and spicy pork bone broth ramen, both of them are bland and plain. Wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.
We came here while visiting for WOAP and I was very excited to try the crayfish ramen. Unfortunately it was super busy so the staff weren't very attentive and I'm told by a friend "the food wasn't up to it's usual high standard". The crayfish ramen was a bit of a letdown too but would be keen to go back when they're not as busy to give it another go.
Excellent dinner for two - ordered a range of plates to share - sushi/sashimi, octopus balls, tempura, and the delicious salmon skewers (these on their own are worth a visit.perfectly seared on the outside, melt in your mouth tender inside!). Fast and efficient service, friendly but not intrusive. Great dinner, filled up two grown men and still felt healthy!
There are plenty of Japanese food better than here, we ordered three different dishes but surprisingly it all tasted similar (full of seasoning). Price was acceptable but won't be back again, not worth it.
Delicious food set not too pricey and miso soup is on point as I prefer mine not too salty or to much bean paste tasting. Service is 10/10 didn't have to wait too long. Sorry no photo I was hungry
Lovely spot. But sadly. Not too friendly for solo - female dinners.
My first dish came out burnt which i sent back & when i requested all dishes to please come out again at the same time the waitress was hesitant but then said it was ok. The second lot of Okanumaki was very good. Not burnt. & all came out together.
If you are going to have sushi here, you are better to go to sushi take-away.
No flaver of sea weed, soy sause and wasabi but more expensive than take away.
Escape the hustle and bustle of Courtenay Place.head on up stairs to a magical wee spot. Great food, delicious drinks. The selection of sake and other Japanese drinks was top.
Staff were super friendly and the vibe was great
Good food but very unfriendly staff. They don't smile or greet. The whole atmosphere at the restaurant is very tense. The waitress was running around the restaurant. Not a very relaxed experience it was more like eat quickly n leave. Couldn't enjoy my meal. Will not recommend this restaurant
