Aroy Thai Eatery - Cuba Street reviews
58The food came out fast, good service. Just that the food was too salty for me, almost drank a whole bottle of water.
Love the food here. I've tried a lot of different dishes on the menu and each one I've had has been delicious. It comes out quick too.
Great food really yummy, easy to order and a cool atmosphere to dine in.
The only thing is that sometimes there are people working like mopping the floors and cleaning the glass during operating hours and that is kinda annoying for me. Otherwise amazing food and atmosphere
Great menu, fast service, and delicious food! Pictured here are the beef noodle (added egg), and dried noodles with duck. Love the portions, great colours, and simply vibrant ambiance.
Pretty disappointed with my latest order. Every other time I have ordered a green curry from here it's come with rice, imagine my surprise when it turned up lacking the main carb. I rechecked my order and found that even though the image of the green curry features beautiful fluffy rice, rice is no longer included. It's not an add on for an extra $3. The quality of food was good for the price, but with these recent increases I most likely won't be ordering again.
Very spacious and modern inside. Prompt service and a huge choice at reasonable prices. They are very good at giving you water which comes in interesting imprinted metal goblets and refilling them.
You choose what you want from a long list at the door pay in advance and then you are served.
Worth walking up the Cuba Mall. It is near the bucket fountain.
I started eating what they brought to the table without me realising it wasn’t what I ordered. Halfway through eating my meal, the waitress came over and said I was eating someone else’s food? Then they tried to take it off me because it was $4 more than I paid for. Without wanting to stop what I was eating halfway through, they ended up making me pay the extra $4 for their mistake. Not the best example of customer service I’ve experienced. Will not be going back there
The best Thai food in Wellington. Inspite of being a busy evening their service was quick. Taste was excellent and the price was reasonable.
I ordered the Tom Yum and was a bit disappointed because it wasnt that sour enough for my standards. However the restaurant is fantastic. Good staff and choice of Thai food.
Just a really solid place to come. My favourite green curry and roti. Clean and simple. Staff do their jobs well. Great for a chain.
Delicious food, great Iced Tea and they brought the food out super quickly so it’s perfect if you are in a rush. Prices are fine and it‘s in the perfect spot, especially when you have been out in the city shopping or exploring the area.
Wish I would have tried out their Mango Sticky Rice, maybe next time we‘re in Wellington!
Ordered a medium, was hot. $4 extra for crispy pork, didn’t get much and it was tough, dry, could hardly chew it and not crispy at all. Noodles were all stuck together and coagulated and not that tasty in general. Pork skewers were equally tough and the chilli sauce came out a sachet. Roti was meh. Shame as have had really good meal from these guys in the restaurant but don’t bother ordering for takeout! Also took forever.
Quickly prepared food and excellent quality. Staff are friendly but are busy so don't pester you, which I like. Under renovation currently but still open and although their seating is reduced there is no compromised quality.
I've been here numerous times and a few years ago it used to be great but now days every meal is a disappointment! Tonight has been the last straw and sadly I won't be ever going here again I ordered a satay chicken to takeaway, I got home only to find all the sauce had soaked into the box and the cardboard was all soggy two pieces of broccoli and a few chopped carrots and to top it all off a whole heap of overcooked dry chicken. Thanks for the terrible dinner aroy! What a waste of money. I recommend to go elsewhere, this place is all about making money and providing you with cheapest made meal. Quality is terrible!
A favourite place. Casual, chilled, great food, lovely people. Our first night out after isolation couldn't have been better.
Wouldn't go back there overpriced and food was ok, barely, ordered duck soup but hardy any duck in it
Awesome experience. My daughters suggestion. Early evening clean, no crowds, spacious and with a well thought out, straight forward Asian menu.
I had a pork dish and my daughter had a noodle dish.forgot names. Both around $15 - $17 mark and a light beer.
Polite and efficient service, meal arrived less than 5 minutes of sitting down.
Fresh, flavoursom and and satisfying.
Well done.
Good food for a good price. Walk in, place your order, find a seat and 10 minutes later your food comes. Simple and fast
In Cuba Mall and looking for a quick bite which is full of flavour and value for money? If yes then give Aroy a go.
I am a repeat customer, haven't been in a while. I had the yellow curry ($16.50). The curry was good but the side salad was terrible. Salad was stale tasting and not fresh, took one bite of the salad and didn't touch it again. Wanted a side dish and looked for Rotti, they sell 8 small pieces for $6.50.
I asked if they can do 4 peices of Rotti and got a flat "no". Work on your side salads and offer a smaller Rotti options. $23.00 is a little bit steep for a curry + Rotti. Your current level of side salad and decor does not justify the pricing.
