Aunty Mena's Vegetarian Restaurant & Cafe reviews
65Cult establishment. Very well lived by the Wellington community and its pretty decent overall really
Mock chicken laksa was very tasty, highly recommend. I also liked their fried dumplings. The only dish I wouldn’t recommend is char kway teow, I find that less flavoursome comparing to the other two dishes.
Aunt is always fantastic the laska is amazing and the dumplings/spring rolls hmmmmmmmm always love the service I recieve
One of my favorite places to eat in Wellington. They do the most amazing food and even my most carnivorous friends love this place. The dining area has a casual and lively vibe and the staff are always friendly. They do pickup takeaways, too. Can't recommend enough!
Beautiful meals as always. We took two friends for their first time at Aunty Mena's. They loved it, and they will definitely be back.
Always great food, always great service, for years and years. I adore them, could not reccomend higher
Laid back spot for tasty food. Laksa is recommended dish, but the dumpling Tom Yum is a strong contender for my favourite tag.
Roti and peanut sauce is a must.
I'm a regular patron after being taken to a small family run business called Aunty Mena's, specifically to try their world famous in Wellington Laksa soup, awesome and totally recommend! But do try their other equally great menu. Plenty of seating and friendly staff, situated in Wellingtons cool Cuba mall.
April is the loveliest staff member ever, always such a pleasure to see her and the wonton noodle soup is to die for! Hands down one of my favourite places in Wellington
I think the food is great when the chef is in the mood but Very rude customer service which makes me sad as it has potential
Incredibly large portions for the price and amazing vegetarian/vegan range for that small kitchen.definitely have to return for more. I've found it always full.sometimes have to wait for a table to clear! ;)
Have been coming here for YEARS and I will never tire of it. It is one of the most wondrous places in wellington, for vegans and non vegans alike. If you want to leave will a full belly and nourishment in your eyes, please consider waltzing into this delightful nook of deliciousness.
Absolutely gorgeous vegan food every time! I live in Lower Hutt and it's worth the trip. People travel from Eketahuna for this! Best food hands down vegan or not a must try!
I've been eating at this amazing family owned restaurant for over a decade, it's definitely stood the test of time. The menu hasn't really changed much since, and it really doesn't have to. This place is incredibly affordable and homely. All the other attempts at vegan fried rice in Wellington simply can't compete with their Nasi Goreng. Their piping hot Laksa is well worth the wait it takes to cool down.
The most horrible experience!
Extremely bad customer service!
Unbelievable rude owner!
I made order over the phone, because her poor English she hang up on me? !
I rang again, confirmed my order, came to pick it up they didn't even start making it.
When I complained about it she start shouting at me!
Horrible experience, I wouldn't recommend it to no one
Best Vegetarian eatery in Welly! Favourite dishes are Wonton Laksa and Drumsticks. A pot of pu’er tea is an excellent accompaniment. I recommend this place to everyone!
Really bad experience today. First time going there to eat. The staff made us feel like an inconvenience when we were asking about the menu. Very dismissive and unhelpful. The food was very poorly made. It was so bad we left without eating it. Do not recommend at all
Some of the tastiest healthy affordable food in Wellington! Plus it’s vegetarian with the friendliest staff. Highly recommended!
Fast, efficient, no frills. I would recommend, my vegan wonton noodles were delicious. The fried rice that someone else had on the table wasn't really fried so slightly disappointed but I'd come back and try something else.
This place is a must. I stopped by to try a couple of dishes and was positively surprised by such a delicious meal. Best ever fried dumplings and roti bread. Even though I don't follow a vegetarian diet I strongly recommend this restaurant to everyone that enjoy good food at a fair price.
