China Beach Restaurant reviews
34Easy efficient website. Great bbq pork noodles. Nice dumplings though dipping sauce would be nice addition. Clear comms and delivered on time. Generous portions!
The most awful Chinese food my wife and I have ever had. For example, chicken corn soup was so sweet I couldn’t eat it. Everything tasted really strange like no one in the kitchen knew how to actually make Chinese food. At least they could possibly watch a YouTube video or something. Paid $20 for half a takeaway container of combo fried rice. WTH!? !? Would not recommend or return. There are much better options locally available.
Ordered take out. 2 of the 3 dishes were cold but were replaced without any issues and were absolutely delicious. Will definitely be back.

Atrocious service and very mediocre food. The man behind the counter had a disgustingly rude tone towards my elderly mom. To top it all off they got the order wrong too. Do not recommend this place.
Beautiful food. Server was friendly but restaurant was quiet. Again good food we had takeout
Table booked for four. Order taken quickly. My entree was cold when served. Three of us had almost finished meal before the last meal was served. Apparently the meal was given to another table. We are repeat customers and this was the worst service we have ever experienced there. In fairness the main course was delicious and the waitress did apologise
Had the honey chicken and would not recommend. Chicken was hard and rubbery and doused in too much sauce. I couldn't even eat half of it which really says something considering I never leave a plate empty of food!
Six of us shared the delicious meals on the revolving platter, Peking duck, lemon chicken, crispy pork, sweet and sour pork, prawn with noodles, chicken with mixed veggies, Mongolian beef and lots of rice.
Full bellies all round, good service and not too expensive! Great place to eat Chinese food
Staff were very friendly and the food was really nice! It came really fast. We ordered the duck pancakes, lamb and pepper sizzler, orange chicken and egg fried rice. Would recommend all dishes!
Worse Chinese restaurant ever. Food was very oily yuck.service is awesome. But food is not good at all don't go there food is yuck dinner and takeaways as well.food. Needs to be better not good enough disappointed.won't be back until u get a new cook. Or the food is better
Ordered food to be picked up. Forgot 1 item then gave us sticky not fluffy rice. Spoke to owner who said that the "water was wrong" in the rice.no refund or how to put right.certainly wouldn't go back
Bang average, got the orange beef with rice. The orange beef had hardly any sauce leaving it very bland and the rice was like it had been warmed up in a microwave. Disappointed
Just had a really nice meal there, good fast service. Would have gone 5 if they used real cream on the fried icecream it was pretty dam good all the same.
Really pleased to have a dine-in Chinese restaurant in Paraparaumu. Our table of 7 was no problem. Service was great, meals exactly as expected & good prices too. Food tasty without being overly salted. We dined early, by the time we left the place was almost full, the word must be getting around about how good they are. Also do takeaways, & were happy to give us a couple of doggy-bags for what we couldn't finish. I recommended the bami goring & the sizzling beef.
One of the few eat-in Chinese restaurants on the Coast. Food is more home-cooked than other places. Extensive menu. I highly recommend China Beach. Quick & friendly takeaway service.
Sweet & Sour Chicken takeaway, very disappointing as the chicken was as tough as leather. Won't be going there again.
Had takeaways. Combination chow mien! 4 pieces of very skinny broccoli, the sparse slivers of carrot x 3 meant nothing and udon noodles with 4 minute pieces of meat is not a chow mien. So disappointed after so many weeks of lockdown. Need to up their game. Won’t be back.
Very disappointing.
Sketchy service, threadbare table cloths, food splattered walls and menus, terrible jazz background music (why on earth?).
Only one other couple were dining with 20+ tables empty, this probably should have been a warning to us.
Food was ok, but nothing more.
I won't be rushing back soon.
If you wanted kiwized Chinese food you will love this place. BUT if you want authentic Chinese food, as this place advertises, you will be sadly disappointed. I have been here twice, first time l ordered something off menu and last time l had a banquet
I believe every dish, bar one, was subjected to a sugar laden commercial sauce bought in bulk! Food was pleasañt enough if you want that much sugar it could easily have been confused with a desert, had you been blindfolded!
Nothing authentic about the meals here except the price
If you want something truly Chinese (and not a sauce out of jar) I suggest you give it a miss.
The service was not that friendly to start with-then after trying a chicken dish, I had a very upset stomach. I probably won't return.
