China Beach Restaurant reviews
34Went with a group of 8 people. We had the banquet menu and it was devine! Plenty of food and very tasty. Good variety of dishes.
Received exceptional service from the young waitress. Very polite and friendly. Food was average, a bit oily but nothing unusual for a Chinese restaurant.
Wonderful location! Cool and calm! Great food and brilliant staff! Am highly impressed.definitely come again.
The staff were firendly and the food was alright. The portion sizes were pretty good for the price
Took a long time to get order and only ones on shop. Then found items missing when go home. Dumplings were bland and doughy.
I came and got wonton soup to take away, it was very bland no flavour at all, the wonton's were very stodgy, the wrapper was tough and hard at the ends. I will not be back
We diner here on a Saturday night two weeks ago.
Really enjoyed the food and the dishes were a generous size
My favorite restaurant at the moment. Great place to dine in or take away, everything tastes amazing (expressly the sweet and sour pork). Restaurant is situated in the perfect spot, in will all the other restaurants and shops, whilst still being straight across from the beach.
Excellent service & excellent food! Stir fry vegetables is the best ever I have ever tasted. It is light & crisply fresh. Their Pekin roast duck has crispy skin different from most Chinese restaurants we have been to. Crispy skin has less fat while maintaining the flavour of the skin. We will go there again tomorrow evening.
New owners so gave it a try, very nice, food excellent, service very good. Will add this back to our restaurant list of places to eat.
Had an early dinner there with family.
Place smelt like moth balls.
Found it strange to have Elvis playing loudly at a Chinese restaurant. It was eventually turned down but certainly did nothing for the atmosphere which was drastically non chinese.
Decor was drab as was the furniture.
The food: Although due to initial expectations being low was pleasantly surprised as to the quality and taste of the meal.
Spring rolls tasty but overcooked. Wontons ok. I had a mixture of NasiGoeng and Satay Chicken. Both very nice.
Price: $27 average main. Made the banquets looked attractive at $35-$38 each for 3 courses.
Wouldn't run back in a hurry unless fot a takeout meal.
Now under new management, MUCH better but portions are smaller and prices are up. Menu is good but items are mainly for 2,3,4 or more people. Overall a big improvement in menu and food.
High quality food, very enjoyable. Had a family dinner here and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Would recommend.
We hadn't been to China Beach for a number of years, however tonight's experience was great. Very good food, enjoyed by the three of us. Will definitely return.
