Fujiyama Teppanyaki Japanese Restaurant

Food was ok. I think it's a bit pricey for what you will get. Very grumpy front staff. Won't go again.

Affordable teppanyaki with decent sized meal, especially if you have entertainment book or grab one vouchers.

Excellent service excellent food. One of the best places to go for a good dinner and entertainment at the same time.

I usually take my family from overseas to this restaurant for the entertainment value. I think the chef was new as he engaged with the customers only once and that was at the beginning of the cook. If the chef had engaged, I would have given Fujiyama 5 stars.

Lovely food +awesome experience but the portion size was small for the price. I think it's a better place for a large group booking.

Food was fine. Nothing wrong.
We got sat at a table with some people who had already started eating.
Kind of got side served and they forgot the fried rice.
I had to go ask for it to be sorted.
Only one waitress on. So not great service.

Sat at a table pretty quickly however everyone else had already had their order taken. We kind of got forgotten. Food was ok although they forgot our rice and had to come back to cook it. Only one waitress working and despite her doing a good job, service was slow.

I guess it wasn't really a "Japanese" restaurant

There is no lock on the restroom door
I guess for the entertainment wise it's alright
But they shouldn't say it's Japanese

Loved this place. Will definitely go again. I rate this place 100 out of 100. Thank you for the lovely food. Thank you for the entertainment of your cooking. This is one of my top restaurants in Wellington!

Grumpy front person.food was very average and small portions my lovely girlfriend bought a Groupon voucher was a disappointing experience.

This resturant was amazing the staff were very nice and helpful i would recomend this place and book in first if possibe

Nice place to go for a change with a larger group, but the food we had was drenched in oil so was rather chewy and tasted like oil. Fried rice on the other hand was amazing!

We've been a few times now and while not cheap, it's pretty cool for the spectacle of the large flames, watching the speedy chefs do their thing in front of you, and catching bowels of rice and eggs which is always a crowd pleaser. The food generally tastes good, although I had the steak for the first time and it was incredibly chewy which was very disappointing, so won't have that again.
The restaurant extraction fans struggle to keep up with clearing all the cooking smoke and could do with a revamp or some more added to the ceiling to grab the extra smoke the big fans miss. The toilets were "quite disgusting" and not well maintained so need some serious attention, such as fixing the locks on the doors and keeping them clean! (this from the other people with us)

Great last minute dinner after a show. Great place and very friendly. As we were the only people in the restaurant.

3 of us 3 of our friends went along for dinner last night. Outside and in its a bit grubby. Guy inside uninterested, had to go and ask for him to take drinks orders. Thought the food show was fun, until the chef chucked red hot rice over my son which burnt him. The guy at the counter stood in the doorway smoking so it all blew back inside and stank. Food was 3 out of 10, the steak was lovley, but 3 small balls does not justify putting steak on a menu. Wife was gluten free the uninterested smoker behind the counter came over and said "thats a big problem, she big problem" which was lovley. Yeah NAH.
