Far out - what an experience. Absolutely amazing food (I had the ribs), the coffee is next level and the service you cannot fault! I would 100% recommend dining here - you will not be disappointed - 11/10:)

Apart from the delicious food and coffee, Kalinga provide a very sheltered outdoor seating space where our 2 corgis are welcomed, providing a lovely family lunch experience. Top marks to the lovely and accommodating staff who really made us feel welcome. We've never had a bad experience in the nearly 12 months they have been open. Would recommend.

So pleased for Carterton. This is a great café with good, well-priced food. The quality of food is excellent.

Food was lovely, very pretty, just not a lot of it. Lots of staff on, but they still got muddled up and confused.

What a culinary treasure. A spur of the moment dinner after supermarket shopping. Beautifully presented and a taste sensation in every bite.

Fantastic service. Amazing detailing on great coffee! The menu is outstanding. Went in a big group ordered variety from menu, everything was delicious.

What a wonderful addition to eateries in the Wairarapa. We're recommended by a friend. What a discovery. Easy parking, pleasant atmosphere, Great caring staff. Good extensive menu including Rewena Bread plus Paua on offer. Well pleased. Food was hot and well presented. We will be back.

Amazing new eatery in Carterton! Only had cabinet food on this visit but it was amazing. Not to mention the beautiful hot chocolate!

What a gem hidden at the car park of New World.
They even could cater for my Keto needs, and I was just about to give up on Carterton. I had the scrambled eggs with pork belly and the sautéed mushrooms with blue cheese - delicious! I didn't even need the knife for the pork belly, and the eggs were so creamy.loved it. Stefan had the prawn & pork belly salad in coconut cream - amazing as well. Staff were wonderful too, such a great atmosphere and on top the great coffee. Absolutely nothing to fault here, next time we come through Carterton we for sure will stop again. Thank you for a great brunch!

Had an absolutely delicious lunch with my husband at Kāinga yesterday. First time there for both of us to this new café and we highly recommend.

We shared 3 dishes: 1) the Parkvale Swiss Brown Mushrooms (it's like gourmet baked mac n cheese), and 2 items from the kids' menu 2) the Ham and Cheese Toasted Quesadilla and the 3) BLT.

All were just perfect, as were their flat whitesl

Not even half way through my meal at Kainga and I had to write and say AMAZING. Beautiful service, perfect coffee, fantastic food. Thank you Kainga for warming my belly and heart on this frosty Friday!

Beautiful! Thank goodness we have a great cafe in Carterton now (I say great cause the others are still good) but the food here is amazing and the staff are delightful.
