66 One Star: Avoid This Disaster of a Kebab "Restaurant"
This place deserves zero stars if it were an option. What an absolute joke of a Turkish kebab restaurant. From the moment I walked in, it was a downhill spiral of disappointment.
The atmosphere was non-existent. The place felt dirty and neglected. The chef/server, who spent most of my visit glued to their phone, seemed annoyed by my presence.
But the real horror show was the food. Let's start with the "bread" – a stale, supermarket loaf masquerading as pita bread. Unforgivable in a Turkish restaurant! My lamb kebab was drowning in what tasted like cheap, store-bought tomato sauce. The meat itself was dry, tough, and flavorless.
And the rice? It was a stodgy, congealed mess that tasted like it had been sitting in a warmer for days. Every bite was a struggle.
This was, without a doubt, the worst dining experience of my life. It was an insult to Turkish cuisine and a slap in the face to anyone who enjoys good food. If you value your taste buds and your sanity, steer clear of this place.
One star is far too generous, but it's the lowest rating I can give. This "restaurant" should be ashamed.
First time visiting today. Absolutely shocking at the chicken and chips portion size. I asked for a large and couldn’t believe it. Kebab was very boring and so unfilling. NOT worth the $.
Went here for lunch with group of 6 for first time on Saturday.asked how big meal was, to be told to wait a minute by man making another persons meal.waited, and then began my order half way thru taking my order
he suddenly said I was that since I hadn't decided I was to take a seat and he would come and take order. We waited and waited and he didn't come. Son went back to counter and was told to go away and wait
Needless to say we all got up and left. Such rude service and they lost a large order. Wouldn't recommend at all!
Just payed 18 dollars for two curly fries so won't be back. Damn shame because the food is actually really good.
Really bad customer services. The ishkender suppose to come with pita bread, but they served with old hard classic bread. Poor quantity of lamb.
Not recommend at all. The mood of the worker was really bad.
Terrible experience. I would give 0 if possible.
Bad customer service, unfriendly, rude and unhelpful. Both meals we ordered didn't taste fresh and had a weird taste. Salad leaves where old and soggy. It was definitely old spoiled food. Would not go back again, not worth it at all.
Ordered the pilavustu, my advise…. Do not order this item or even go to this restaurant at all.
Serving was hardly big enough to feed a child, rice was dry, chicken was dry/crunchy in places and pita/Turkish bread as solid as a rock I couldn’t even get my teeth into it.
The service wasn’t bad but it certainly wouldn't say it was good.
Used to be our go to and we LOVE the Petone one but tonight was an absolute let down and I wont be back.
I suppose I should have known from a completely empty restaurant at 5.30-6pm on a Friday evening.
Would recommend giving your money to the likes of Assyrian kebab house or Lokanta just up the road.
Worst kebab experience. Tiny scrats of meat.and what meat we did find was dry and not very nice.
Will absolutely not be back.
Delicious food with a good range to choose from, friendly service with plenty of tables if you care to dine in.
Great food at a very fair price. Caters for all diets and willing to customize to individual requests.
Unfortunately shocking experience here - didn't have enough lamb to make the meal ordered so subbed with the vege fritters which were cold in the middle. The rice was old and hard and the lamb that was there was rock hard. Tiny serving sizes and took forever to even get served. If you're under staffed it would be better if you just weren't open rather than a horrible experience that led to 2/3 of us getting sick.
Real grumpy miserable old goat. Bad service, food was sub standard quality and portions. He definitely does not like children. Do not recommend anyone support this business.
The restaurant is empty, no wonder why. I asked for two plates to share the meal and the Cook complained to me. Very rude, not coming back here!
We did takeaways. The food was good in taste and quantity.
We had
- Chicken Meze
- Donor Kebab
- Open Kebab
- Baklava
Everything was done right in front of our eyes and tasted fresh.
Probably would rate at 4.5 but for.
The service wasn't the best. Not warm and welcoming as we have come to expect. Perhaps explained by no one dining in at 8pm on a Thursday evening!
Very small potions, the salads were stale, bread was hard like a rock and the meat was so dry. Not going back
Their take away Kebabs are always very wholesome, filling & tasty. They are also reasonably priced. A good take away for sure. Thanks
Lamb Kebab to takeaway was fresh and a generous proportion of salad in it as well. Good value for a large @ $11. Staff were polite and efficient.
Rude staff. Dry lamb old salad. Taste less food. I dont know how they are still running the business.
Terrible experience
Bad customer service, unfriendly, rude and unhelpful
Both meals we ordered were very small portion and slapped on plate, very messy. Meat didn't taste fresh and had a weird taste
Would not go back again, not worth it at all
Food was disgusting! Don't recommend at all spent $60 the meat was horrible it didn't taste fresh at all
