Kilim Kapiti reviews
66 I tried the Iskender chicken & lamb mix,
it was a very small portion, the hot sauce wasn't hot or spicy and the amount of meat was very small like a kids portion.
I wouldn't eat there again.
My first time at this place as it was recommended to me by a friend. I had a large mixed kabarb and it was very nice & a great price at $11.00
Turkish food.
At least, what I, who have never been to Turkey, think is Turkish food.
Tasty, good servings. Nice coffee.
Kāpiti prices.
Dined here last night and it was fantastic! Food was very good and you get so much for your money. Staff was very attentive and friendly, even while only having one staff member on and the place quickly filling up. My mum got the chocolate cake for desert and they had no berry sauce left so he offered ice cream or cream which unfortunately she can not have. He instead made her a melted chocolate sauce which was yum and then unexpectedly didn't charge us for the cake either. This is above am beyond service.
Would rate higher if I could.
Food is good but service is shocking. Maybe the guy who served us was having a bad day or something but he was rude, unfriendly, and unhelpful to us and the two groups who came in behind us. Won't bother going back.
The owner didn't let us in with a kid because there were other 3 families with kids already there, and with all other tables empty. So we went somewhere else to eat. A bit unexpected service for NZ oh well.
So bad. Worse dining experience and yuck food. Kebsb: Hard toasted bread minimal meat, gross premixed soggie salad. Grumpy fella serving does not write what 5 people ordered so mucked that all up. Dried meat on 5 chips for that dish he forgot all sauces. The rice dish again dried up meat. Pics are false. I'd go back and correct the photos but no change in hell this guy gets repeat customers. Go to kapiti lights and avoid this sorry excuse of a kebab shop.
We were told "Kids are not allowed! It's not a carpark to park your pram! ". Cafe was empty that time. Very disappointed.
I would give 0 if it was possible. The manager is out of control. While the sign says open and the business hours say open, he randomly chooses who he wants in his restaurant and how he will serve them.
Terrible customer service, owner said families and children are not welcome at all. Definitely not recomend that place to any one.
The title of this restaurant should be "Children not welcomed here".
The owner was super grumpy because there were to many children in the restaurant so he just refused to serve another family and asked them to leave. Seriously? Is it a culture thing?
Meals are great. Customer service needs improving. Very perfunctory and transactional service. Could be a bit more intetactive and friendly
First time today, Got the Adana burger. Dry as a bone, stale chips, no sauce, almost no flavour. Will not be coming back again will stick to Lokanta takeaway, way better. Really disappointing: (
Guy was obviously stressed. No chicken available and refused us to sit in as it was almost 2pm.
Come here often - the food is great and is very cheap as oppose to going to a cafe for a meal.
Definitely recommend!
Things didn't start well when we went to place our order and it seemed we were interrupting his day, even though there were only two other customers present. The food we ordered did not resemble the menu board of it being three very small falafel, some rice and an unknown red sauce with a small piece of bread on the side. The rice was barely lukewarm when it was served. We did get a refund without question, but sadly it was not at all like the experience we had at the Petone restaurant. A shame really as there are very few kebab options in the area.
Went for lunch, it was extremely tasty and the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. I had a Falafel kebab and it was delicious, the best I have ever had.
Grumpy guy running the place. Met up with friends after a recommendation from family member. Was winter but FREEZING cold inside. Food was so so, not many choices and only enough I ingredients for two of us to have a hot ginger lemon drink. Our third went without. Hours stated open til 9pm but at 8: 00 we were rudely told that, " I am only waiting for you to leave so I can go home". How rude. Would not return nor recommend.
Love the food at this family run restaurant, it's a great option for vegetarians, the felafel is top, the sauces delicious, the prices are great and the service is fast and friendly. I've become a local there even though I don't live that close!
Always been my local. Wasn't as good as I have had in the past. Portion size was smaller for same money but still ok
