Maranui Cafe

My family had such a lovely breakfast and staff where really friendly. Will go back again when next in Wellington. M

Definitely one of the better cafe's in Wellington. Serves the basic cafe foods, nothing special really. Coffee is decent. Wait times are always really long. The service staff are well trained, though, and typically make up for it.

Good food with a nice selection of gluten free and vegan options. Wonderful view looking out over the ocean. It was a little chilly, and somewhat noisy, but casual and fun.

I can see why it’s a popular joint. Food was nice with great view. Service was good too. But the place is way too noisy (IMO).

A very busy cafe, great location and efficient service. Food was great but maybe a little on the expensive side for portion size.

Favorite place for weekend breakfast/brunch. Expect a queue, but worth it. Love the design and decore, the funky atmosphere and staff. And the food - cooked and counter. Expect a queue - but it moves fast enough.

Yeah not bad aye, I'm a fan of their big breakfast. Could be cheaper given the amount of food you get, but I understand that there is kind of a standard pricing for cafes. I was not disappointed.

Pretty disaponted with the service here this past weekend. We were sat down and told there would be a 40 minute wait time on kitchen food which is fine. But we ordered some drinks to start and half an hour later we were told they lost the drink order. We watched as people who sat down after us recieved there food around us. Multiple servers came up to ask what our orders were. Kept saying coming soon. In total we waited 2 hours and multiple groups of people came, ate and left whist we waited.

Delicious food. Scrambled Tofu was very tasty as were the pancakes. It was also lovely to sit outside on the sheltered deck too. Service was great given how busy it was.

What a fantastic place! The food is great, the staff friendly, the decor funky and ocean view stunning. I reckon this is my new favourite place. I totally recommend it.

Just love this place and the food is always great! The staff seem to like their job.and the service they provide shines as a result. The only downfall is it's so good that it's always packed and can get pretty loud the wait is always worth it.

10 out of 10. Perfect morning. Started it off with a beautiful organic orange juice accompanied by the basil, avo smash, fresh tomato on gluten-free toast, which although sounds like a simple dish, it was perfect for starting off the morning. Add a poached egg to the side if you're feeling peckish. All very fresh ingredients.

Finished it all off with an aromatic long black coffee with perfect crema.

Service was top notch. All in all a memorable experience.

An iconic cafe to go if you’re ever visiting welly! Gets really packed here but the view and vibes are really nice! Food is surprisingly decent.

Maranui has always been good. Located right on the beach in the old Maranui surf lifesaving club rooms, they deliver the "Havana-esque" food and drinks that we know and love.

They are always solid as a brunch choice, but at the weekends you'll need to arrive early, or except that waiting in a queue on the narrow stairs is all part of the experience.

Always the best Wellington breakfasts and Egg Bennies, even 11 years after my first visit. Always a wait at busy periods but that's just part of it and well worth it. Still also the best savoury muffins in NZ. I can never find a match elsewhere.

Great little Cafe with stunning views. Food selection is good snd plenty of parking within easy reach. Fantastic milkshakes and smoothies.

Great food and they were very happy to make her substitutions to accommodate my keto way if eating. Good vibes. Coffee was very average.

Absolutely delicious coffee my mocha was totally worth the price, a gorgeous view even on an overcast day, a little loud for an intimate chat but lively.
