Maranui Cafe reviews
70 Stop here randomly after landing in Wellington early in the morning and have come here for breakfast every time I am in Wellington.
The cafe is amazing with a good menu, delicious food. We got the eggs Benedict and fresh free range on citabatta and hot drinks on our first visit which we enjoyed eating and drinking soaking up the amazing views.
We also loved the decor to this cafe.
Good staff and highly recommend coming here.
Another gorgeous morning breakfast! Today my partner and I devoured the buttermilk pancakes and a savoury scroll (aubergine, zucchini & pesto). Phenomenally savoury, umami; the pancakes were fluffy; the custard smooth and the brittle crunchy and nutty.
So good.
I enjoyed the turmeric latte. My partner enjoyed the chai (it was a tad cool likely because it was made first).
A lovely spot for lunch overlooking the bay. The food was very tasty and there was a good variety. The kids menu offered several options and there is also cabinet food available too. It gets very busy so tables can become a premium at times. Lots of parking available right outside.
Always a memorable. Great atmosphere, super nice food, good coffee & of course the location is pretty good.
Absolutely the best place to eat in Wellington. Wait time for tables on weekends can be 10-15 minutes, but well worth it. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options!
Amazing food! Staff where awesome, it was super busy but they where all still calm and friendly. Highly recommend!
Good food, great views. Really busy but staff super friendly. Great place for a weekend brunch. Do yourself a favour and get the fish tortilla.
It was good but way too busy and noisy on a Saturday, a long queue just to get a table, better come during the week.
I know this place's atmosphere was lovely and staff was good, but im really disappointed about food! I ordered eggs benedict with spinach and britto, geez. That was worst eggs beny in my life. I couldn't finished even I was so hungry. Spinach wasn't really cooked well (so it was bitter), mushroom also bad. It taste make me really upset and I don't think it worth for pay 40 dollars this terrible food. I don't know about the others, but please DO NOT ORDER EGGS BENEDICT AND BRITTO.
Amazing cafe with incredible views across Lyall Bay. It's super popular at the weekend so expect to queue for a table.
On a good day you'll see scores of surfers, paddleboarders, planes taking off/landing at the airport, ferries coming and going across the Cook Strait.
I recommend their vege breakfast.
Iconic quirky Wellington cafe - full of locals and tourists alike. Great food & drink, well worth a visit.
Noisey. Fantastic location. Nice food although I thought the Salmon bagel I ordered was let down by the bagel. I have had nicer bagels. Staff were excellent
Food is always good in my experience. If you arrive in peak hours for breakfast, brunch lunch be prepared to wait 30-40 mins before you get to eat. In our case we waited 10mins to get seated and another 25ins for our brunch.
I came here with a friend who claimed that they had the “best thickshakes in Wellington” and The “salty dog” thickshake lived up to the claim! Also the staff where Friendly despite the place being crazy busy
Normally get the big breakfast and large coffee milkshake. Friendly staff. Busy every time I've been here.
Love the food, coffee, and scenery. Just gotta stand in line when it's busy - generally lunch hour, but they do their best to accommodate.
Always a pleasure to drop into this place. The service is usually spot on, warm and friendly.
The food is always attractive, wholesome and served in generous portions. An iconic cafe, with a well deserved reputation and wonderful views all year round.
No allergen information on the menu, wasn't aware they do not serve traditional Pesto and had a reaction to the bits of almonds I had to scrape off the rest of my food, had face and mouth swelling upon leaving the store lucky no anaphylaxis. Other than that food was good and I'd recommend the milkshakes
My favourite wellington cafe. Delicious berry smoothie and quality cabinet food for a quick lunch before getting on the road again.
