Olive Restaurant reviews
78The patio at the back is cosy and wonderful, not too warm in summer. The food is delicious and the service was nice and fast.
Had the eggs Benny.eggs done to perfection, and their espresso martini was delish. Cute little place.
Love this spot for brunch. Simple but flavourful. Probably one of the best eggs benes I've ever had. Had a florentine with spinach.
Olive on Cuba St in Wellington- do not miss this - fantastic food and service - inventive unusual menu - DELICIOUS and fairly priced. They know and understand good quality fare! Best lunch in Wellington if you ask me!
Very long wait for food (over 30min after ordering) however lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and the food was delicious. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re really hungry due to the wait time but if you can hang in there the food is fantastic.
This is a nice place to go when in town.handy to everything with great food and service.highly recommend it. A must for a quick fix for that coffee.etc.
Always enjoy eating at Olive. Recently had an excellent Christmas work lunch. Delicious and a great "outdoor" space well protected from the rain and wind!
The best iced chocolate I’ve ever had in my entire life. Thick chocolate ganache, not too much ice, and a good dollop of whipped cream on top. Also the best breakfast place in town in my opinion, not to mention the outside area is such a lovely environment to be in.
I had possibly the most disappointing dining experience I have EVER had here. It is absolutely obscene to charge $23 for 6 sticks of asparagus. If you are expecting anything more than a light snack I would highly recommend you do not order the asparagus meal. There were FIVE pieces of crispy potato that were smaller than a 50 cent coin, the "sourdough crumb" was quite literally just that, as if they had emptied the crumb tray of their toaster onto the plate, and BARELY six sticks of asparagus would be what I would expect as a side to a main meal. It is daylight robbery to include this on the menu as if it is a meal that is worthwhile ordering. I had to go across the road to St Pierres sushi as I was so hungry after this absolute joke of a meal.
Amazing - go and try it for breakfast/brunch, you won't regret it! (Booking advisable as gets very busy!)
This is our special place, special anniversaries, special events, special friends. I had the fish today, it was of course special, exquisitely special
Yum! Crumbed Cashew Mozzarella bites with Kawakawa hot sauce & eggplant anchovies. The menu description was too tempting not to try and it was delish!
One of wellington's best restaurants! Casual and friendly with delicious inventive food. Great vegetarian selection.
If you are full all day by 10: 15am put a sign up to say. Pretty stupid to have customers queueing up to turn them away.
Great place for a date or with a few friends. Definitely dress up for the occasion. It's worth the vibe. The food is world class but a little pricey (personally) but that is because I rarely eat at such places that provide amazing quality food. Would love to come back again.
This was such a lovely surprise! My boyfriend and I went here a few months ago for a treat-yourself breakfast before leaving Wellington and Olive delivered beautifully! The staff was super friendly, it had a nice and relaxed atmosphere and I loved the hot chocolate.
Since I‘m not a big fan of egg, I ordered mine without it and got some more of everything else instead. Great service.
Would definitely come back, worth the price!
Amazing! Who thought deep fried custard dessert could taste so blinking good!
Ambiance great and very attentive staff
Thank you
Friendly young staff, surprisingly very professional, lovely cuisine in elegant surroundings centraly situated in Wellingtons Cuba Street. 10 out of 10 from me!
Lunch with friends in the little room - best waitress we have had in a very long time. Food enjoyed by all especially the desert. First time here but definitely will repeat. Definitely 5 stars.
