The beer is truly great and it's the suburbs. Be grateful it exists. The food is eyewateringly expensive.

Waited for the menu which never came. Had to go ask for it. Was served a beer and ordered food, but that never came either. Terrible service.

Can be way too noisy when live musicians are playing. Average food at best. Well I revisited the venue out of necessity and enjoyed my Caesar Salad but my other companions didn't rate their food that much at all. Quite pricey but not outrageous. Great staff though.

$27 for your Gorilla burgers that are $16.50 at your bar in town! Why are U ripping us off in Karori Wellington Hospitality? Service was really, really slow. But we at least got a laugh with a fellow patron when they told us "that server just said if U don't like it go complain to my boss"

It was amazing experience having a brunch here. It was our anniversary and we came here for brunch to spend time and have some good lunch It was totally worth it. Food was delicious and on top of it service was so amazing. The two girls yestin and Aimee greet us wonderfully. Service was awesome

Excellent food and service. Very friendly staff. Ideal location. Highly recommended for both lunch and evening meals.

31/12/21. Steak & Mushroom sauce& veges v/good. Pork Belly, lovely. Bit light on slaw but Prune puree made up for that. Banana milkshake Yum!

Yummy food and service BUT only 4 of is got their desserts, 5th one never arrived. Which put a damper on the evening. Would come back but dessert would have to be a miss.

Very happy with the service and food last night. Staff friendly and accommodating. Catered well for our large group. Food was delicious and had a beautiful home-cooked flavour. Great vibe, highly recommend, however just be careful of the floor dipping as you enter the toilet.

A group of us have met at One Fat Bird a couple of times a year for the past 3-4 years The staff are always friendly and helpful, the service is efficient, food and coffee are great. This time we arrived to find Christmas bonbons on the table, a lovely festive touch. Thanks, we'll be coming back next year!

After reading prior reviews on TripAdvisor I was reluctant to book, but did so anyways based on the online menu, and I was not dissapointed! The food for both of us (southern fried chicken, cheeseburger burger, salt and pepper squid, ice cream and key lime pie) were all spot on. Service was super fast and friendly, and the venue had atmosphere and was modern. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed their food, especially the steak sandwich, their asian waitress is very friendly and efficient

Great meal, great atmosphere, awesome friendly service and especially pleased with the extensive and interactive kids menu! Great value. Definitely recommend for relaxed and enjoyable meal out.

Lunch menu great, recommend Tacos. Lots of space for a fun social distanced evening, staff both welcoming and polite. Love it to 5 stars if there was an inkling of a dance night:)

Lovely service and great place to watch the AB's however I have to say my meal was disappointing. I ordered the whitebait fritters & it was basically an egg omelet with very little whitebait, less than 1/3rd whitebait.

How can you give this establishment anything but one star.rubbish beer list.terrible food and more than anything the worst service. A local bar that's anything but local.

Waited an hour and a half for our food to come out. The table next to us came in after us and received their meals before we did. We were told our meals were 3 to 4 minutes away, we waited at least another ten minutes. They took ages to clear our plates. We finally got asked if we wanted dessert. We ordered our dessert and 5 minutes later we were told they only had 1 brownie left. Too top it off our Voucher didnt work. No we had not used it before and it had not expired!

As locals, we've been going to One Fat Bird for years but it's been gradually going downhill and last night was the worst service we've ever encountered. There was clearly not enough staff and the poor ones who were there just couldn't cope with the demand. People were complaining left, right and centre about food waiting times and lack of attention. We complained to our waitress who said she'd already fed back to management that there weren't enough staff but they hadn't done anything about it.

We had to constantly wave our arms for attention and when service did come it was quickly forgotten. We asked for water - it never came, so we had to try and ask someone else. 3 of our party ordered burgers which were tasty, however my pork belly didn't arrive until 10 minutes later. When it did I wished I hadn't wasted $32 on what was essentially a small square of fat and some raw cabbage with no dressing. We asked for dessert menus which came but then we were left waiting for 20 minutes to order, we finally got someone's attention to order, then had to wait another half an hour for them to arrive. When they did arrive, our daughter's had been forgotten. We were there for 2.5 painful hours and just wished we hadn't bothered. Will be the last time we go there for dinner.

I would skip for fine dining. The woman preparing food in the kitchen chewing gum seemed happy but. I ordered what appeared to be the featured dish of Half Fat Bird which is fried chicken on mash and slaw. All of our fried food had that burnt "need to change the oil" taste. The gravy, or whatever was on top, was not very tasty and made the fried chicken batter mushy. The chicken was slimy the slaw had no flavour. Stick to the burgers and chips and you are probably safe. Last 2 out of 3 visits have been quite disappointing. Corfu down the road has better fried chicken for about 1/6 the cost.
