Portofino Restaurant Wellington reviews
77Wait staff great shame how disrespectful management was and unwilling to attempt to understand constructive criticism
We went the food was some what average I had spaghetti Bolognese and penne arrabbiata all just
Panna cotta just set and sandy the cake was really rich
Don't think we go back
But up to you
Stopped for a bottle of wine in the sun on the waterfront. Great location. Wine wasn't cheap ($59 a bottle) but had a great time nonetheless.
So delighted to have a meal at this restaurant.
Staff very friendly, great services, very attentive
Loved my meal & others with me also enjoyed their meal
Very responsible prices for the views we experienced
Love to return
We went for our first wedding anniversary (it was a Sunday night so restaurants that were open were limited) right from the outset, terrible service, limited food (menu choices) and they didn't care. Even wrote a complaint to Wellington portofino and then forwarded to Head Office.nothing from either. Do not recommend at all
Perfect. The pepperoni pizza was delicious. And Jasmine made a couple of very delicious Margaritas. Great covid protocols too.
Just ok. Nothing great. Noodles from supermarket and the tiramisu not even close to the original one. We are not going to come back.
Perfectly cooked steak very tender and awesome sauce. Really nice atmosphere with views across the harbour
Loved my experience here. Good food and good service! Maybe bring back the cheese board on the menu.
Went there for New years eve dinner 2021, Food was bland i ordered the fettuccine con pollo and it was tasteless, the pasta sauce tasted like pasta water, no flavoring and poor quality. Starters and dessert was awful too. Does not compared at all to Mission Bay Portofino.
The service is good and staff are very nice but the food is overpriced for what you get, all three pastas we got did not seem as if they were worth the relitivley high price you pay.
What a wonderful first experience at Portofino Wellington! We went for a 21st birthday lunch and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty and plenty of it, they even gave the birthday boy a free cake! Definitely recommend eating here and this will be our new Wellimgton CBD go to restaurant.
Pretty view, and sweet staff. I had the penne al salmone affumicato, it was really nice but lacked salt otherwise enjoyed myself.
Awesome venue with a great view and excellent food. The pizza was especially good, that tomato base is the boss.
Staff were friendly but food was way below average. Just felt like something from a can in the supermarket. Lacked flavor and ordered Rigatoni and was given Penne, sauce was not thick and creamy as it should be, very waterery. Cacciatore sauce was thin, watery and reminded me of Pams canned tomatoes. Would not eat here again.
Drinks were forgotten then took 30 minutes to come out with no apology, poor and slow customer service, no payWave, food was average, wouldn’t go back.
NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL. I’m a regular customer of Portofino Mission Bay Auckland. I was so excited to experience Portofino Wellington on my trip to Wellington which turned out to be a complete shocker and a disaster. The quantity and the taste is not up to the mark as other Portofino’s of New Zealand. The quantity was just as the quantity of a starter. The Bruschetta was one of the worst Bruschetta’s I had in my life and quantity of our Ravioli pasta was not even close to the quantity of a starter. Highly disappointed. Even the staff wasn’t friendly at all.
Went for our anniversary dinner and although the restaurant was chockablock, our food drinks and dessert arrived on time. The taste, the ambience and our water front table - oh la la la ️
Went there once during the first week of January. Online they had a different menu and in the restaurant they had holiday (reduced items) menu. But they still did a few basic items that weren't on the menu.
We ordered garlic bread (not on holiday menu), risotto, rigatoni, and a chicken main dish. The food was good.
However the day we went, they were short-staffed and it took quite long to get order/food (no complain here, just highlighting the stress on the staff).
