Pravda Cafe & Grill reviews
65 This place was so delicious. The staff were friendly, informative and very attentive.
We ordered the antipasto platter, oysters, bruchetta as starters.
The beef tartare, baby octopus, calamari as the entrées.
Our mains were the beetroot risotto, pork belly, venison and chicken. With truffle fries as sides.
We left absolutely full. And had a great dining experience.
Good cheese scone for a reasonable price ($6) they just need to toast it instead of warming it up in the microwave. Wonderful rich and chocolaty hot chocolate.
Had an awesome experience. Loved the atmosphere. It was a very unique and enjoyable experience and I highly recommend coming here. The food and service was top notch!
Delighted to showcase Wellington to a visitor from Melbourne over a long, leisurely lunch. Booking was easy, great ambience, fantastic food with champagne. Clean bathrooms. Near perfection
We were walk-ins but felt like we were regulars welcomed back again, food yummy as. Very diverse diners, credit to them as well
The people were lovely. The food was excellent enjoyed everything I tried. I had the Waygu Kagoshima A5 it was delicious.
It was hard to make a reservation given pre Christmas parties and gatherings, but we got in at around 8 (place closes at 9: 30). Watermelon salad was refreshing but I would prefer more feta cheese in it. Lamb rump steak was made to perfection. Their a-La Pavlova cake was actually better than some other places “true Pavlova”.
Pravda put it on for our small company do. It was delicious and service was outstanding. Really love this place. Second time here when visiting Wellington
Amazing service, a really friendly manager who served us. Food and drinks were really fast to come out, and one of the best cheese scones I’ve ever had.
Meh. Pravda used to be solid. On my last time there I had the First Light Waygu scotch. If it was Waygu the marbling must have been 1. It was one of the toughest rib eyes I’ve had - even though it was perfectly cooked.
The maître d said that the first light product was quite variable and they had raised it with the supplier. Perhaps they should stop using it? Affiliating to JSH and for the price you are paying you expect consistency
Brilliant food, hard to understand the wait staff as it was very noisy and she didn’t speak English very well.
Excellent service from multiple staff, nice atmosphere, great wine suggestions and beautifully cooked and presented food. Definitely worth the expense because it was an experience as much as a meal.
I've been wanting to try Pravda for ages now and was surprised with an amazing birthday dinner out.
First impression was that I've seen this place before under the dictionary definition or cartoon caricature of "nice heckin restaurant ". Sitting beneath a giant banner of Comrade Lenin and eating the best steak I've ever tasted was exactly how I've dreamed of spending an evening. Sides were rich and varied, everything cooked to perfection and would highly recommend to any lover of steak. I will be back to sample all the cuts.
Steaks are as good as you would expect. Lovely, high quality ingredients used in other dishes - highlight being the feta and balsamic vinegar. Tiramisu and cocktails were another highlight - packed with a symphony of flavours. Preparation of some sides and entree dishes could be improved (some dishes over-seasoned, some under-) and the mashed potato was almost soup consistency. Overall an enjoyable experience with good service. Would happily recommend to others.
Tried A5 Wagyu here for the first time. It was really good. So was the rest of the food, service and the experience in general.
Really liked. An extremely cosy place where one can chill with friends or even study on a cold, windy winter day. Really friendly staff a great bonus. Facilities definitely cleaner than the average too.
We had a fabulous evening! The food was outstanding, and the staff were amazing! I can't wait to return and enjoy the delights of Pravda! Best night ever!
Amazing food with splendid service at the restaurant. I also called once during lunchtime in hopes to reserve some of their wonderful cheese scones and were able to do so. Absolutely fantastic!
The breakfast was superb and excellent and the stuff were really nice what more could you ask for
Really enjoyed the express lunch and Wellington on a Plate cocktail. We also went on Valentine's Day, completely unplanned and got a window seat near the bar. They had pink roses on the tables and a special menu! We loved it.
