Redhill Restaurant reviews
64Went in for a hotpot and it was as expected with a Chinese hotpot. Let down as there is no chicken in the list of items. Beef, fish, shrimps, tofu, mushrooms and a few regular items were good as usual. The soup base of hot and sour and chicken were perfect. Also a bit pricey for $48 per person. At this price, they could have added a BBQ grill as well then it would be better.
The food is great and the atmosphere once the karaoke starts is amazing!
The only issue with us was that one person in our group specifically ordered a gluten free dish. They mistakenly gave her another dish, and then when her (GF) dish was out they said "Oh, this is the Gluten Free not that one you're eating". It's not great if you have an intolerance or allergy.
Thankfully, my friend was okay:)
The hot pot costs 48 per person, and the toppings are 6 knives each. The variety of ingredients is pitiful, and the tripe louvers are not fresh. You can tell that they have been soaked in water for a long time.
Good place for hotpot in Wellington. They have a big selection of meats, veggies and carbs to choose from.will definitely be back
The hot pot experience is so awesome, I find myself craving it. I love that I get to pick the ingredients from the menu to create my own dish, and the experience of cooking the hot pot really adds to the vibe.
It's definitely a child friendly restaurant, and there's often large family groups enjoying the food. It can get pretty loud in there, so if you have sensory issues, I would suggest picking a quieter time to visit. The overall vibe is very casual and unpretentious, though, and it's definitely worth the experience to go at least once.
Very good experience in this restaurant for the first time. It’s quick to have the dishes ready and taste great. Nice staff as well.
Love this place. Would highly recommend going with a group of people for their amazing hotpot and the quality of meat and seafood is beyond expected. Will surely keep returning back.
Third time eating at this restaurant and satisfied with everything each time. Friendly owner and staff. Would recommend!
The food was excellent. I love the way you cook your own food at the table, good selection of meats and vegetables, spices etc. I would suggest going early on the weekends, as by 7-7.30pm it's packed with people and the noise levels go through the roof. Really good atmosphere though. Would definitely recommend the place.
The staff is super helpful and really good service. Higly reccomend coming with more than two people lol ️
Great experience, love the all you can eat hot pot. Good range of options and a reasonable price.
This is my favorite hot pot place in Welly! The hotpot is sooooo yumm! And they offer so many food options to choose. The service is very good.
Awesome little Asian place in the middle of Wellington. The food was super delicious, waitress was nice and even gave us recommendations for where to go out for drinks in the evening. Couldn't have been any better
Very good hot pot, it's buffet style so you know how much you are going to spend. Service is good too. One thing to mention, don't order luncheon if you are not a fan of ham
Good hotpot, mala was spicy and mushroom base was tasty. Sweet potato noodles are so good. However weekend night was insanely loud with rowdy people throwing things and slightly rude (drunk) diners. But overall food was great.
We dine in lastnight with my sister and a friend, 1st time experience, we had the hotpot deal n also the chicken cashew (QF)
Food was lovely
We've booked in to dine in again next month with my gurls (Gurls night).
C u den Redhill.
Fabulous day
We ordered the hot pot that Redhill restaurant is famous for and we weren't disappointed. So many options, mixing ingredients and concocting variations of the dipping sauce. Service was prompt and attentive. Overall a wonderful experience - just keep track of how much you eat. It is too easy to overindulge on the wonderful flavours!
This place has gone downhill in terms of their food - used to be really good, presume a change of chef/ownership at some point.
They did the classic thing. Opened with a massive bang, but then.so disgusting. The table was extremely sticky, toilets filthy and it just felt off and different from the previous four previous times we went there.
We went to the restaurant on Saturday night and it was so busy and insane noise. The beef was frozen and hard to grab to hotpot. The dipping sauce and hot pot base were bland and not tasty. We had to order many time just for a spoon and the Chinese lady who served us was not friendly and grumpy.
