Scopa Caffe Cucina reviews
55Ten years since I visited. The coffee has gone and has been replaced with filter. The crispy pizza bases have been replaced by floppy pizza bases. Had excellent hot chocolate, but that isn't enough to tempt me back. Sorry!
Their hot chocolate is stunning. European-style hot chocolate where it is incredibly thick and rich like a drink of melted chocolate. Pizza is very nice too.
Ok nice enough. We had drinks & desserts but menu could do with another 2 to 3 more desserts to choose from & with a bit more of a WoW factor. I'll pay a good price if the dessert that sounds great.
Just want to say that my girls in Scopa, Autumn, Marina and Sharon are legend. Luv my girls more than the place and the food is amazing. Thanks Mini
Was cool. The toilet is so beautiful and funny: I took ages to find the door. Best hot chocolate in Wellington recommended by my friends.
I live in Auckland and I’m already trying to think how I can get my hands on their hot chocolate! Honestly one of the best hot chocolates I’ve ever had! Atmosphere was great, staff were super nice and I loved the bar seating option.
Normally they are ok, but this time we received an incorrect order, everything was cold, and 20 minutes late. Chips were under cooked and soggy even though we had requested for them to be cooked longer, and we received melanzane al forno instead of the vegan melanzane pizza. What a sad pizza night that turned out to be. The delivery guy couldn't run away fast enough when we said we were expecting 2 pizzas and he only gave us one. Time to try another pizza place.
The Calabrese.
The spiced honey with pepperoni is really unique and has a marvelous savory/sweet combo, flavour is like crack on cocain.
Now imagine that spiced honey drizzled on top of fresh hot fried chicken - that's what I'm gonna order next time.
A bit disappointing. My melanzone al forno was not well cooked and the lasagne nothing special. The kids enjoyed the pizzas. Good service
I swear their pizza are getting smaller and smaller and their crust thiner and thiner. That's a rip off. Pizza taste fine, not great. So many places around Wellington are making better pizza.
Thoroughly enjoyed a lunch with the family - fried cauliflower, lasagne, pizza finished off with Tiramisu - all of it completely deliscous and reasonably priced. Decor and atmosphere iconic within Wellington restaurant scene, staff all great as was service - a top pick for the family for a repeat visit.
For a place that specializes in pizza the pizza was nothing to write home about, the chips were to salty and tasted like store bought frozen chips. Don't but the 4 cheese pizza!
Good food but not really for People who like to have a chat with each other so much noise and if you ask for them to turn music (noise) down please they will do so for five minutes and then straight back up so you can't hear yourself or you're Friends or Family talking with each other.
Ordered takeaway from here last night- the pancetta pizza was good, could have done with a little more tomato sauce, but they didn’t skimp on the taleggio which was delicious! Their chicken burger was a little bit dry and fried chicken was good with the hot honey and rosemary!
Very upset with today visit.menu changed and i couldn't find anything to order.ordered bottled margarita and come only 1/2glass.the lady staff was weird when we ask if the anchovies fresh or can.
But, many thanks to chef, I ordered prawn pizza and it was just so so so delicious!
Nice food I would describe as "Italian fusion" if there was such thing. I mean that their pizza is not authentic but still nice and enjoyable, feels like quality ingredients were used and it's a good portion for one person.
Walked in off street, restaurant was fairly busy but staff very accommodating and efficient, great menu selection and wine list. Food exceptional along with service and reasonably priced. The pasta was absolutely delicious and the service was genuine. The gramigna was cooked just right and toppings were good balanced. Will be returning for sure as the location is central and parking not too much of an issue.
Scopa was suggested to me by my hostel’s receptionist. I ordered a Margherita Pizza & Hot Chocolate. The service was pretty quick. Ambiance was good. Pizza was really good but the main highlight was the hot chocolate. It was thick, creamy & tasty. It was hands down the best hot chocolate I’ve had in New Zealand. Highly recommended for their food.
Good sized freshly baked pizza in pizza oven from $20-$25 with vegan, vegetarian and meat options. Gentlemen beans coffee. We didn't have to wait long for the pizza.
Brunch was a really poor experience - under average. Over cooked eggs, one slice of slippery fatty bacon for $5. Others were complaining too, the staff didn’t seem to care.
