Tulsi reviews
51Tried to place an order over the phone and the worker gave up half way through my order from sounding like he couldn’t even be bothered and told me to come in and order. Decided to look at the reviews and am glad he gave me the red herring.
Don't get me wrong, the restaurant was very clean and the staff are nice enough. The food - very average!
Food is almost not eatable, I feel saddened as it was very popular. Should not have sat down when there were only 2 other people. Will not go again
Just had our lunch there and belive me I was surprised with the food. Haven't had this good food in wellington before. Customer service e was excellent too. 10/10. Keep it up. Will be back for more. Thanks guys.
Poor service when our group attempted to dine at the restaurant for a BYO using FirstTable voucher. We were the only people in the restaurant and ended up leaving without eating.
I go with my girlfriend to this restaurant every Sunday. The food is amazing, price is super reasonable, services is great!
Really nice butter lamb and chicken and great panin. Good service and prices. Chocka after our meal.
Only stopped for lunch, haven't been for ages, gone down hill a little from what I remembered. There was work going on so may have just been the wrong time.
Came in for lunch and was not disappointed. Delicious vegan curries and really fresh naans, not too oily. Quick service, comfy chairs, friendly staff, and great value for money. Thank you!
Definitely worth the visit! We ordered butter chicken and it was delicious. We've tried many butter chicken restaurants around NZ, and this is probably the best butter chicken I've tasted.
P.s if you can't handle spicy, get mild. I got medium and it seemed hot to me but still sooo good!
Changing my review rating. Bad atmosphere, decent customer service, disgusting bathrooms! Place is falling apart, needs a revamp! Food is okayish://
Great food that is well priced, fortunately for us on the night we went, it wasn't busy so the usual delays were near to nill and the place was quiet.
Undercooked butter chicken.my girlfriend and i got food poisoning from eating it.great garlic naan though.
Charged for naan bread, but it wasn't included in the order, butter chicken was bland and lacked any sort of spice despite ordering "hot".
It has been a long time since my wife and I had lunch at Tulsi but it was as good as we remembered in the past. It wasn't busy, waitress was very polite, calm and efficient - chef who brought the food out was cheerful and nice - portions were a good size - everything was tasty and pretty good value for money - all in all a good place to go for a tasty curry for lunch
If you are after a tasty and authentic Indian style curry then look elsewhere.
The curries on offer here are surprisingly bland and flavourless, you are probably better off buying a jar of Patak's and making it yourself at home. It will certainly be a lot cheaper!
Overpriced compared to other Indian restaurants around Wellington and too much sugar in the curry.
This is some lame version of Indian food. The buttery chicken tastes like tomato sauce and menu is a bit deceptive
Not a real indian restaurant. Chicken Butter was not good at all. A small portion of rice for 5 of us. More rice considered as an extra. Prices are way too expensive for the size of the portion. Not recommand
Good curry and we enjoyed the Mango lassi too. I had asked the Curry to be made hot (spice wise) and they did it perfectly whereas most other Indian restaurant's curries hot tastes mild to me. Staff are friendly and the place looks amazing too. Went to the branch in Petone once but the curry didn't live up to expectations. The Cuba St one is much better.
