Fabulous little convenience store with everything you need plus post office.lovely fresh rolls and good coffee.
Fabulous friendly owners who take great pride in their lovely little community. A must stop when travelling the West Coast a great little place with an interesting history. We'll be back.
Great place to see an interesting geological phenomenon. The walk is well laid out with plenty of viewing bays and information boards. Free parking and a cafe/shop and at the time of visiting they were constructing a new visitor centre opposite. 25 minutes drive from Greymouth so if, like us, you're booked on the Tranzalpine Express there's plenty of time to check in at the station, drive up to see the rocks, have a coffee and drive back to the station to hand over the hire car before the train arrives.
Close to the parking lot, a circular route, short, and interesting for watching the Pancake shape rocks.charming
Great experience with these guys. Although we didn't get to land on the glacier as planned, due to weather, the team were very helpful and tried their best to get us a good trip.
The place had everything you could wish for: large pitches, very clean and lots of showers and toilets, peace and quiet, very friendly service at reception and great infrastructure (kitchen, barbecue, lounge, games room with table tennis and table football, washing machines and dryers, large playground). The town center and beach of Hokitika are within easy 20 minutes
Reachable on foot. Definitely one of the most beautiful campsites on our trip to the South Island.
Out of town a bit. Very nice facilities. Lovely unit, modern, Restaurant seems to be closed.
I'll give a 6 out of 5 for our stay here. Sonja went above and beyond to accommodate us when we were totally let down by another provider.
The rooms were more than what we were hoping for, Sonja and the cleaning staff were obviously happy to make our stay memorable.
Can’t be missed, this is the end of the road, and it is a beautiful place. The food is great and so is the service. You are looking at the ocean and the closest place is 2000 km away!
One of our favourite activity on the West Coast! Loved that it's very quiet and private. Awesome rainforest vibes. It was a perfectly spent hour on a very rainy day and it was a relief for our muscles after all the hiking.
The best B&B of our entire trip in New Zealand. Spacious and clean room with an amazing view of the ocean. Beautiful garden from which you can reach the beach. At low tide it is very nice to walk over the dry rocks and see the mussels. Very good breakfast with various choices such as a delicious eggs benedict with smoked salmon. The host Jan is very friendly and provides good tips for (short) walks in the area. Even on the day of departure we received tips for our route to the Abel Tasman National Park. Unfortunately we were only in this paradise for 2 days, we would have liked to stay another day longer.
