Stations Inn reviews
25Out of town a bit. Very nice facilities. Lovely unit, modern, Restaurant seems to be closed.
We simply cannot fault Glenda and her team at Stations Inn. The rooms are beautiful, clean and well catered. Heat pump, electric blankets, magic views. The service overall is brilliant. If you get the opportunity absolutely give a stay a go.
Beautiful setting on the outskirts of Hokitika with fantastic views of the sunset from our patio.
Super bathroom with wet room.
Reception was not manned during our stay but notices were left on the door.
Disappointingly the award winning restaurant was closed during our entire stay with no prior warning and contrary to the details on the website.
Had we known this we would have stayed in the town centre where we could walk to the local restaurants.
Beautiful place to stay with the most amazing hosts. It is so quite and the sunsets are to die for. The Restaurant is well worth a visit the food was incredible.
This place is magical. Five mins from town and close to blue spur for mountain biking. The rooms are huge and really well appointed including room spa. Only ten rooms so very private. The view from your patio table is of lamas, water wheels, garden, farm animals across to the sea. The restaurant was closed. I'm going back! We should have stayed two nights!
Amazing!
We stayed for two nights during a roadtrip around the south island. We had such a wonderful time here. Beautiful outside environment, lovely clean rooms and excellent restaurant. The bartender/waitress gave the place such a great vibe with her friendly customer service. She created me a cider/raspberry mix and now I ask for it everywhere I go!
The owner checks up and ensures you're comfortable and happy which is a nice personable touch.
I will absolutely stay here everytime I come to Hokitika now.
Great location, modern rooms, welcoming and helpful host. Only 5 mins from Hokitika township. Large bathroom with spa bath - very nice. Lovely views from room out to Alpacas in neighboring paddock, with ocean in distance. Well maintained grounds.
We didn't stay here but ate in the restaurant. Food was amazing. The beef was the best I've had in a very long time.
We only checked this place out we didn't stay because we found out our rooms had been booked else where, but from being shown around, this place was amazing, we are hoping to go back and stay here later in the year
Beautiful views, very peaceful, excellent accommodation, food top class and staff were very friendly and courteous.
Highly recommended.
We ate there on a lovely sunny night. With glorious views of sea and mountains. Food was excellent, with beautifully cooked local ingredients.and the service lovely. Definitely worth the short trip out of town.
An absolute stunning place to stay. From the lovely service, the outstanding accommodation, excellent restaurant and the ambient rural setting, with Tasman Sea views. Will be sure to stay again.
The rooms were pristine, roomy, and the bathroom and spa bath were outstanding. The setting looking out to the Tasman Sea was stunning and restful with lovely rural spaces to look out at from your room. Loved the restaurant food quality too with attentive and friendly staff. We will definitely stay again!
Delicious meals, awesome service and a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. It's definitely the place to visit
Loved our stay here! Nice and relaxing, comfortable room and great views as well. Appreciate the service as well, very accommodating?
Great spot to stay, rooms are comfortable, hosts and staff are friendly and compliments to the chef for an outstanding meal.
We would definately stay again next time we are visiting the area.
Very nice thankyou more people should eat there excellent service excellent surroundings of high standard
Did not stay at the hotel, but went for what we thought was one of the top tier restaurant's in hokitika. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. The restaurant was nie on empty when we arrived at 7.45, yet we were seated next to the bar. To the sound of dishes being cleaned we perused our menu. My partner ordered salmon I ordered steak.the salmon was undercooked and raw in the centre, the steak was so thin it doesn't matter how you ask for it. When I complained I was told that they are 250gram rib eye (scotch fillet) steaks. Hence why it was only 20-25mm thick. Nothing more than bbq steaks. It beggars belief that they could ask 44$ for this. Served on some run of the mill roast veges this was nothing more than a bar meal. After explaining my dissatisfaction the steak was removed from the bill. However nothing was said about the uncooked/raw salmon that was served to my partner. Would not visit again.really starting to struggle to find a restaurant that can serve food that is equateable to the price that is being charged.
Again, very disappointed wish I had never went
Almost stumbled on it by mistake after being thoroughly drenched on The amazing Tree Top Walk.
What a find, welcoming warm, nicely decorated room with views over countryside (once clouds moved off) Alpaca in field opposite.
Dinner at restaurant was beautifully presented & delicious- lamb followed by a stunning desert.
Run mostly by family all very friendly including their chef.
We loved the whole experience.
Excellent standard if room and service clean, functional and quite.
Restaurant and bar if open excellent quality
