Barfoot & Thompson Pukekohe reviews
55Thankyou Luke Jupp and Jason Tabrum for being such a fantastic team. Enthusiastic, hard-working, positive, caring and professional. We are glad we had you on our side while selling our property and appreciate the high level of communication, which wasn't easy as we were at the other end of the country for some of the process! Your commitment showed and we would recommend you both to anyone. Duncan and Jenny
Not enough seating 4 auction, toilets had hand towels strewn on floor.however an excellent auctioneer, I'd recommend her.
We currently renting from Barfoot. But need a bigger house boys need there own space. But just feel Barfoot is not supporting us with this. Help from Barfoot will be very much appreciated.
Recently my sister and I helped our elderly father sell his house. I personally found the communication poor and felt the agent and team were a little opportunistic. Even when my sister requested I be included in all emails and key communication that only happened when a request for payment was required as I funded the costs to make it possible for him to be in a position to sell. My recent experience has reinforced my view many of the Barfoot and Thompson agents are tarred with the same brush when it comes to trustworthiness. I will be reluctant to ever use them again.
Annette has managed our rental property for the past 2 years. We have always found her very professional, prompt to deal with any issues and get the sorted very quickly.
It's a real pleasure to have Annette looking after our property, she is 100% better than when the property was managed by Professionals.
I highly recommend Annette as a property manager.
We have also dealt with Denise when Barfoots first bought out the Professional rental division. She put everything in order that our last our property manager from Professionals had left in a real mess.
This has been our worst experience while trying to buy a property. The auction passed in and instead of just negotiating with the highest bidder they negotiated with all bidders, and they asked for final offers and said one will be choosen and within 10mins they said it will be price by negotiation with multiple offers and that it will take 2 days to know the result. To start with during the open homes, they were saying the property would be sold for a particular range and during the auction the reserve was set 200k more than what was mentioned. We will not be dealing with barfoot pukekohe again.
Messaged Steve Ball twice regarding one of the property he listed but he didn't bothered to reply back. Will be going to vendor's home tomorrow directly.
This office is run in a very unprofessional way. The management team comprising of branch manager Nick Bates and saleas manager Hirini are bad to say the least. They appear to be wholly and solely interested in the money making business, pushing customer service to the backburner. To them probably only those customers matter who are providing them with quick and big commissions - the sellers. And Pukekohe is providing them with enough of that opportunity.
Just now saw another post here that says the branch manager was found parking his car in a disabled parking, and apparently he was justifying doing that. If this is true, it reflects the mindset - of firstly doing wrong things, and then going on to justifying it. It is indeed a worry if such people are in management position of real estate business - and that too a big one like Barfoot.
I will suggest buyers to look for other real estate agencies. They may be relatively smaller, but will have a better set of customer handling ethics. This Pukekohe Barfoot office is bad in that respect, and I say this from a really bad personal experience.
Scott McElhinney & Chris Courteaud helped us sell our property, within the first day we had an offer on it! A month on we now have a suitable offer that we now have signed off - was a breeze & enjoyable experience. Recommend the team to help sell any luxury / lifestyle / rural property.
Scott helped us look at other properties in the area and was very professional, easy to deal with. He has a genuine interest in our needs as buyers AND as sellers:)
Won't deal with Barfoots again - property sales as well as rental. Rental division is shockingly unprofessional & an expensive waste of time. Issues raised with management are simply ignored or ridiculous excuses given - "property inspections are visual & we can't be expected to see rubbish. " Management was negligent - they failed to ensure tenant removed rubbish & did gardens; failed to keep records to account for keys & garage remote at any given time & failed to return all at end of tenancy; failed to account for landlord's property listed on tenancy agreement; allowed tenant (without consent) to have 2 large dogs that annoyed & frightened the neighbours; were allowed to sleep inside on landlord's bedding & damaged the property; failed to correctly manage the Watercare a/c & gave the landlords refund to the tenant; repairs & cleaning were sub-standard.
Landlords need to be aware of the poor documentation & the need to thoroughly check statements.
-ve reviews receive a token apology & a fob-off to "complaints" which clearly doesn't work as issues raised 5-6 months were ignored or ridiculous excuses given - as above.
We look forward to Nick Bates response - after waiting 2 months for his response to the rubbish issue, we had thought putting all issues out in the public might elicit a response but still waiting while it seems that he can immediately post a comment on his right to park in a disabled carpark.
19/06/2019 - 52 days & counting.
Disappointed to see Nick Bates, branch manager of Barfoot & Thompson Pukekohe, illegally parked in a disabled car park. Even more disappointed to see his explanation online justifying it saying he wanted to "race" in to the store. Very insensitive to the disabled community and one of the very reasons for disabled parks - for those in the community who can't "race" anywhere and have mobility issues. It's also a worry that Nick Bates thinks doing something illegal and breaching rules and regulations is acceptable if there is a personal benefit to him - quite a worrying viewpoint for someone overseeing real estate transactions.
Like somebody else on here, very dissappointing experience with the rental department. A complete waste of a phone call. They're just not interested in helping at all.
I tried for two days and left two text messages for the agent listed with the properties I was interested in and there was no reply from him either. Won't be dealing with Barfoot & Thompson if I can help it again.
This is the second home Jane has sold for us and as per the first time.great. Thank you Jane, Erin and Ruby for all you hard work. Absolutely recommend to anyone thinking of selling or buying! Thank you ladies x
One star for the rental property department, they don't seem to care any additional businesses, responded queries without doing any research, very disappointed after talking to them, absolute waste of time!
Cindy Guo associate salesperson to Scott McElhinney is very approachable, very helpful, sale went very well, very pleased and recommend this team.
