Great place & atmosphere - but huge lumps of ice in most drinks that would sink the titanic so less liquid refreshment.
Cut down on the ice blocks and more drink then I would give it a 5 star

I was told about this bar many times by a friend of mine and it lived up to every expectation she put in my head! The unique nature of ordering drinks drives a fantastic and organic service. Very cool place to chill out with a small group of friends.

Pretty awesome experience, really cool vibes and attentive staff. The wait staff ask what particular drinks we liked to drink and then would get the bar to make us one to match. We received some delicious creations. The venue only serves small groups which creates a really intimate sort of vibe. Decent price for such cool cocktails as well!

Bouncer was weird asking us odd questions. Four of us went all asked for different things, all our custom drinks taste like lemon. Plus the bar maid wearing a lot of makeup and hoop earrings servicing us had the worst attitude!

Drinks were FIRE. Service was fantastic, (especially Rawiri). There's no set menu, They ask you what kind of drink you'd like (liquor, flavour etc) and make something suited for you. Highly recommend.

Recently enjoyed a wonderful experience at Caretaker! The concept of telling the staff what you like and having them come up with a delicious concoction is something I had never experienced before, and was absolutely worth it! We also got free shots on the house, which tasted amazing. We will definitely be back to Caretaker again thanks to their amazing service and delicious cocktails!

Their drinks are always spot on. Can't recommend a better place to drink and have a good chill time with your mates

The average: cocktails are nice enough but lack the x factor.no smoke, no fire, no special garnishings.both my friend and I didn’t find any layering of flavours in our drinks.the taste was pretty straightforward which is a pity

Overall I was expecting this to have the same oomph as speakeasies in New York and Melbourne but naah

Cool and everything it's says it is but the cocktail was a poor match to what I explained I liked and overall disappointing.

I was not sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised.

At about $20 a drink, it's definitely not somewhere to go and get completely drunk. But you come here for the atmosphere and experience.

The staff are generally quite attentive and friendly. Being the first time I was there, it was quite exciting to see what the staff comes up with.

Fun, prohibition style cocktail experience with waiters creating your cocktail off asking you questions rather than a menu order. So fun!

One of the best cocktail bar in Auckland, the place is haed to find, it it set between an alley way next to the westpac building, a small green door will lead you there. It.is undergrand with really good atmosphere. The bar it self is great and does not have a manu. Just tell them what you like ans they will come up with whatever it suitable.

I have never had a disappointing experience or cocktail here EVER! Definitely recommended to everyone!

Probably the best place in Auckland to have a 'cocktail experience'. Essentially the idea is to tell the waiter/waitress what type of cocktail and flavours you like and they'll come up with something different based on your suggestions. Great music and fitout making it a great place to have a drink. Most Saturdays there's a wait to get in.

Amazing. Hands down best bar in auckland. +5 to the atmosphere, +5 for quality cocktail although it was bit predictable. +5 on the cleanliness and the great waiter that served us. The location was difficult to find but I guess that makes it even cooler.

This place is fantastic. Stumbled into it whilst out for drinks. Great atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff including a bartender who shaped some excellent cocktails from our likes/dislikes. Hear it does live music too. Well worth a visit, stands out from the crowd.

Nice cocktails they give you one customized. Not the best but always nice ones have.they do live music performance as well. Atmosphere is pretty good.

One of the best cocktail bars I have been to anywhere. If you are in Auckland and looking for a drink this is a must visit destination. The entrance is a little tricky to find but well worth the effort. Enjoy!
